Niall told me that all the game supplies were kept upstairs so I followed him up while he explained the rules of Consequence Jenga.

"You've played normal Jenga right."

"Oh yeah"

"Well everyone takes in turns removing a block each but in this version every block has got a different truth or dare, that kind of thing written on it in Sharpie marker. And you have to do whatever it says on the block you pull out and if you don't you have to do a shot."

"Haha, fair enough, sounds good"

It was a narrow Victorian stair case so I had to walk in front of Niall in order for us to both squeeze upstairs. I thought I should check my phone; I whipped it out and held it in my palm in one swift movement. No texts but 3 missed calls from Josh. Today had been absolute bliss without him but a pang of guilt still rose in my chest. No, don't call him back I told myself. You deserve at least one night away from that controlling bastard.

"If you take a left at the top of the stair case it's in the first door on the right" Niall's calming voice brought me back into reality. I followed Niall's directions and walked into the room which was dimly lit as the sun slowly escaped behind the horizon. Niall had lied, it wasn't the first door on he right because there wasn't actually a door.

"Niall, what does this mean?"

"Sorry?"

"You know, this." I fumbled over my words "Me being invited, you holding my hand, I don't understand" what was I doing.

"It means we like you" he took a step and my heart started to race. I didn't know what to say or do.

"It means I like you" he took another step forward and encompassed his hands around mine. I could hear my heart pounding in my head. He slowly bent down and kissed me softly on the cheek.

"Now where are those Jenga blocks" He chuckled and he cheeks glowed a muted shade of pink. "Here's where we keep all our party supplies" he said gesturing to a large wooden chest of drawers "everything from plastic beer cups and emergency alcohol to first aid kits and the morning after pill" he explained wearing a smirk. The morning after pill?! My face was a combination of shock and I felt as though my eyebrows were going to hit the roof.

"Oh I was only joking about that last one"

He knelt down in front of the chest of draws letting go of my hand. He swung two of the small doors open and his eyes scanned the contents. He really wasn't lying when he said they kept everything in there. He reached into the back and pulled out a the box and slung it under his shoulder. It was pathetic how I felt about this boy since I had only known him a few hours.

"We best go before the others think we've been up to any funny business"
