I reached forward and extended my arm. My arm trembling slightly under the heavy influence of alcohol. I twisted my wrist and gripped a block on the centre right. I was relieved when it glided out with ease.
I surveyed my audience and saw all their eyes pinned on me.
"Let a member of the opposite sex guess your bra size by feeling your tits"
"Let me have the pleasure of that one love" stated Max. It wasn't even like he was totally pissed. He'd only had one carling, he was being totally serious. Niall could sense my discomfort. But something in me didn't want him to do it either. There was something special between us and I didn't want to ruin it by some stupid party game.
"Well at least let James or Luke do it for goodness sake!" Clamored Imogen. A few of them nodded in agreement.
"Fine, Luke, Go ahead "
Nialls Pov.
I couldn't handle this. I know it was just a stupid drunken game that teenagers play and it would all be forgotten about in the morning but I just couldn't physically bring myself to watch this. Before I knew what I was doing a reflex in me yanked her off the ground, dragged her through the hallway, and out of the bloody frat house before she had time to ask why. The air outside was colder than I'd expected, so I quickly dashed back inside and grabbed the first two coats I could find off of the end of the banister. Going back out I handed one to Sonia and she took it gratefully wrapping it round her small shoulders.
"Sorry, I had to" I apologised.
"No, thank you for doing it, where are we headed?"
"Oh nowhere in particular" I said while figuring out where we would actually go. We couldn't just wander round in this shabby bit of London at this time of night, but I didn't see many other alternatives. She pulled her arms through the sleeves in her coat but the coat being gigantic on her, her hands didn't quite poke through the ends of the sleeves.
I reached for the sleeve, pulled it up and reached for her hand. It was freezing.
"We're going to my flat. Well it's not totally mine, I share it with Luke"
"Okay" she sounded pleased.
"It's in the north campus for London Met Uni so we'll have to get a tube to Islington, is that alright?"
"Of course it's alright"
Sonia's Pov.
Nialls apartment was in a set of newly built flats specifically for University students; the building itself was made from majority reinforced glass with a steel frame and slanted roof. We walked up round the side to a buzz-in box where Niall rapidly typed in a long string of numbers. The automatic doors slid open and we walked into a small reception area and into an elevator.
Niall clicked the button 8 and then rested his back on the hand rail as we began our assent.
"I wonder if the others are having fun" I sniggered.
"Hmm, by now they would have probably joined in with all the others either partying or playing beer-pong. James would be asleep and Max would have found a lady to keep himself comfortable for the night" he chuckle "and it's only 9:57" he said checking his watch on this right wrist.
"It's 10 o'clock?!" I gasped "I told my parents I'd be back for dinner, I better text them so they don't think I'm dead, I'd be surprised if they haven't called the police by now to report a missing person." I slide my phone out of pocket, 4 texts from Josh and 6 missed calls from Dad, shit. I unlocked it and started writing a text to my mum.
"I haven't got you in trouble have I?" Niall innocently questioned.
"No, no, my parents just... A little bit protective, that's all"
"My mum and step dad were like that when I moved out to London. We're originally from Ireland if you hadn't already guessed. They cried for weeks when I moved and I still can't properly talk to my mum without her welling up"
The elevator dinged open and Niall showed me the way down the corridor to his room, our hands still interlinked.
