This morning I woke up staring at a blank white ceiling. As I looked to the left of me I saw my sister Sarah still sleeping. I checked my clock to find 6:30 am. It's to early to think about school right now.
In the distance I hear my parents rambling on about new running techniques. They run all over the world in competitive race. ( this is why they are gone almost 2 months a year.)
I walk into the kitchen to find my parents and my brother Caden. My sister Sarah was still sleeping and it was already 6:30. Our school is quite early so that wasn't to big of a surprise for her to be asleep.
" Hi Payton ." Said Cayden.
"Hey." I say.
"Did you sleep well?" My dad Seth asked.
"No, not really, just tossing and turning." I slowly sigh.
"Will you be ok for school?" My mom Sandy asked.
" Ya I am going to go get dressed and wake Sarah up." I say as I walk out of the kitchen and into Sarah and i's bedroom.
I grab a tank top and a sweater. It is the middle of January and it is still quite cold outside. I go into the bathroom grab my toothbrush and start brushing my teeth as I wake up Sarah. She looks at me with a blank face to find why I woke her up.
"Sarah it's time to get ready for school."
"5 more minutes please. I'm still sooo tired."
"Yes but you say that every school morning. So just get up and deal with it."
I finished brushing my teeth and put some skinny jeans on. I grabbed a pair of moccasins and socks. After 5 minutes of putting everything on, I grab a hairband and tie my hair up into a high bun.
I ask Caden and Sarah to hurry up and get their butts down here. When they do Caden is the first one done. He is wearing a green t-shirt and a red beanie with some jeans. Sarah is wearing a long sleeved shirt, leggings and a knee length skirt. She was also wearing wedges.
As we walk to my light blue Volkswagen beetle Sarah calls shot gun.
"What classes do you have Caden?" I ask out of know where.
"I have science and then history."
"Cool, I hope you guys have an awesome day!" I say as I pull up into the school parking lot.
"I hope you have a bad day!" Caden says in a jokey voice.
As we walk up to the school doors I see two of my really close friends Eleanor and Mckenzie.
"Hey guys wait up!" I shout towards them for them to wait for me.
"Have you found anything out about Nash?" Mckenzie asks me.
"No not yet I'm still working on it." I say to her.
Nash is Mckenzie's crush. He is literally the hottest boy ever!
