"I'm leaving you." Those were the words that echoed in my head over and over again. And two days later, I found out the reason why he left me. He was quitting the band and didn't want to have to deal with my sass about it. That was a good choice on his part because I had a mouthful of things to say to him after that.
And now it was two months later and I was alone. My sister Angel was still with her boyfriend Justin Thorne, who like a smart kid, had stayed a part of the band. I hadn't seen or talked to any of them since that day besides my sister. She was the only one who understood how I felt; heartbroken, abandoned, deserted, alone. I could think of millions of words but it would just take too long to list. I no longer had a life. I'd stay home all day and lay in bed. It was bad.
But one day, Angel broke that barrier. She forced me to get ready for the day and then she proceeded to drag me out of our house. It looked like she was kidnapping me, which she was, but the neighbors wouldn't say anything. They all knew she was my sister.
She plopped me into the passenger seat and got in on her side. I folded my arms across my chest and made a loud, "Humph!"
She just laughed and turned on the car. As we drove to wherever it was she was bringing me, she began to talk.
"You know, Chris has been asking about you lately. He's not talking to AG because of him leaving the group, but it's mostly because of what he did to you. He thinks it was a douche bag move," she told me.
"Ewww, I don't like Chris! He's like my brother!" I said.
"Come on Ash! You even told me the first time you met them that Chris was the second hottest, right behind AG," she said.
"Well he IS hot," I admitted.
"There you go. Well, this is good. We're making progress."
"So where are you bringing me?"
"I'm bringing you to have lunch with Chris."
"WHAT? ANGEL, LET ME OUT OF THIS CAR! UGH!" I screamed. "STOP TRYING TO PLAY MATCH MAKER!"
She just laughed and kept driving. I gave up. Whatever. I'd go out with Chris and see how it would go. If it went well, then good, but if it went bad, I would continue not to talk to him after this. We got to the restaurant and Angel dropped me off.
"Call me when you're ready to be picked up," she said.
"Yes mom," I teased.
She stuck her tongue out at me and drove off.
I went inside and scanned the room. That's when I saw Chris wave. I walked over and gave him a hug, then sat down in the seat opposite of him.
"How are you Ashlee?" he asked.
I smiled. "I'm pretty good. How about you?" I asked.
"Pretty conflicted," he told me.
"Aww, why?"
"I'm just confused. The last few days I haven't been able to get this girl out of my head, but I don't know why. She's so beautiful and I would love to date her, but it's been a while since we've last talked."
I blushed. "And who's that lucky girl you're speaking of?" I questioned.
He put his hands on top on mine. "She's right here and she has no idea how fast my heart is beating when I'm around her," he said.
"Aww, Chris, you're so cute!" I exclaimed.
"He broke your heart Ash. I won't do that. I can help you get over him."
