A Never-Ending Game

Zoe's P.o.v

I get out of the room and walk quickly out of the building it's self. I hear the sound of boot's hitting the ground behind me. I don't turn around or even stop. I knew it was probably Chara. The footsteps were light showing whoever was walking was obviously small. No one else here would step light anyways. "Zoe? Are you okay?" Chara asks. I stop walking. "N-no." I stutter and continue walking. She sighs and walks after me. Suddenly the footsteps stop abruptly. I look behind me to see Chara frozen carefully choosing when to blink and such. She shoots me a glance. "Stop." She whispers "Don't move a muscle." I freeze and stand still. That's when I saw it. A large creature. It's health wasn't displayed like other bosses and creatures. It growled and looked straight at me. A terrifying screech filled the air as I let out a shaky breath. Chara looked at me "RUN!" She yelled. I took of running very quickly realizing we were running towards a cliff edge. we were now at the edge of the cliff. I pull Chara behind me trying to do the best I can to shield her. The monster roars loudly shaking the ground. I see a piece of the building the other's were in crumble and break block the door. I curse silently to myself. "Zoe?! W-what do we do?!" Chara asks. I look at her. For once she looks like a young scared girl. The girl who was always so determined to protect and serve her friends and sister's was now gone. She was terrified. I back us up more as the creature gets closer. The cliff edge crumbles and we fall. A terrified scream escapes my lips. I catch the cliff side and Chara's wrist at the same time. "Oh god!" Chara screams. I hear more loud roaring and then a hurt growl. I hear footsteps heading our way. I look up half expecting the creature to be there. What I saw was not what I anticipated. The guy attempted reaching down to grab my hand. That's when I realized as strong as this guy could be (Which was about moderate, maybe) he couldn't lift us both out and away from the cliff. I realized I had one choice if I wanted to live. "I will avenge Juniper and Alfie." I whimper. "Wha-?" That's when I let her hand go. She screams loudly as she falls further and further out of site. I reach my hand up and try to grab his hand. The cliff part I am holding onto breaks and I feel myself falling before violently slamming against a rock and only pain before I drifted away.
