I Believe BLM

Next to the badge I'm supposed to feel secure

but safe is not what I feel and that is for sure.

People are dying

Even more crying

And the news doesn't tell the truth

They're lying and hiding

The fact that the people who are supposed to stop crime are the ones who committed it.

Knowing that you ended the life of an innocent, I don't know how you can live with it.

And all the sides being taken and the fake stories being shared,

I'm so sick of it.

All the people who think this is acceptable.

They're all ignorant.

Saying it's irrelevant.

They have too many things going on, they can't deal with it.

But I'm saying that I can't deal with you.

You ignoring and denying everything that is the truth.

I can't handle you.

I don't understand you.

How can you be silent,

when the exact opposite is what you should do ?

I'm supposed to be protected

but in not even respected

All these innocent lives being taken

How are you not effected ?

Can't believe color can so drastically divide.

It's black and far on the other side it's white.

It's a war.

But tell me where in the constitution did it say being black was a crime ?

And imagine if we were all blind and wouldn't judge others based on the color of their skin,

whatever religion they're apart of,

Whatever clothes they are in.

We would only judge based on the words they say,

And the character they display

but it's too late.

All the stereotypes have already gotten in the way.

Now every time you see someone of my color,

you get scared,

you feel tense,

but that doesn't make any sense...

I mean if he was your Best Friend, would your hatred for him still be this intense?

Telling me to calm down but I really really can't because it could be me or my family next,

I don't feel like I am guaranteed any safety yet,

because ...

It won't stop happening.

Every time I look at the news,

It's another slip

another "accident" .

Until we are close to extinct and we admit defeat.
