chapter 2
After Prentiss and Morgan returned from the crime scene, they met in their designated room. JJ had finished setting up the board with the victims identities and their pictures. She also put a map up for Reid to use.
He had put red pins in each area where the women's workplace was located. He didn't notice any patterned other that they were all fairly close to the police station.
Hotch was looking through the file along with lieutenant Dodds, the leader of the investigation.
"Did you find anything at the crime most recent scene?" Hotch asked Prentiss and Morgan.
"There's not much to go on, he locked the door but there wasn't surveillance from inside the bathroom so we don't know what happened exactly." Emily said, "he either wore gloves or wiped the bathroom clean of any evidence."
"The guy kept his head out of vision from the camera outside the bathroom, he knows surveillance protocol." Morgan suggested.
"The lab didn't find any evidence on any of the women, he's smart." Rossi chimed in.
"I hate to suggest this, but do you think he could be apart of law enforcement?" Emily said looking around the room.
"You think he's apart of the police department?" lieutenant Dodds asked surprised.
"It's possible, about seventy nine out of every one hundred thousand officers commit sexual assault, its surprising but officers can use their badges and uniform to gain trust and eventually commit assault." Reid informed the officer.
Lieutenant Dodds stood still for a moment, clearly shocked that the man they were hunting could be one of his own officers.
"I guess I'll start interviews with some of them-" Dodds began to say.
"Actually it would be best if you let us see the backgrounds of all your officers, our technical analyst can try and find something." Hotch said politely.
"Yeah, sure, whatever you guys need." Dodds said nodding.
"I think we're reading to give the profile." Hotch said.
They gathered their files and stood around the group of officers. Hotch had JJ and Reid stand on opposite sides so they could look for changes in behavior and find a possible suspect.
"Were looking for a white male in his early thirties." Hotch said.
"We think this man is involved in some type of law enforcement, he is very organized and intelligent." Morgan added.
"This man also has issues with powerful women, he may have had a negative experience with a woman, maybe a bad date or abuse." Emily said.
Hotch's cell began to ring and he excused himself and went to answer it.
"We appreciate your time, we need to find this guy, and fast." Morgan finished off.
They all met Hotch in their room and he finished the call and hung up.
"That was the hospital, Janet Marsh just died."
