A single crisp cream vellum envelope. Heavy. It stood out from amongst his regular morning mail.  Pulling it free from the bundle his eyebrows creased together in a frown. No mailing address. Flicking it around, the front held only his name.

Marc Quaid.

Curious, he slid the letter opener beneath the flap.  Reaching in he pulled out the heavy card.  It looked to be a gold coloured invite of some sort.  It couldn't be.

The Golden Ticket. Slowly he sat back in his chair taking in a deep breath. It was. He'd thought it was only a tall story guys made up to exclaim their prowess. A tale to share with the boys when wanting to impress each other. A story older men spoke about to tease the younger men.  She was legendary.  She didn't exist.

But it was real. She was real. He had received one himself. It had leapt out of legend into his reality.  It was real.  It was right in front of him.  In his hands.  An invitation to meet her.  She was real.

The Golden Lady.

Excitedly he relaxed into his chair and began to read.

Greetings Mr Quaid

Your attendance is desired at: Penthouse, 1039 Hammond Avenue, 7pm on the evening of Friday 3rd September.

Please ensure you bring this ticket to gain entry to the evening.  If you wish to actively participate, there will be a token fee of Five thousand dollars.  This will need to be paid upon entrance.

Dress is formal and all refreshments will be provided.

It will be my pleasure to be your hostess for the evening.

It was signed with her signature in gold pen.  The Golden Lady.

Marc ran his hand through his hair, exhaling slowly as a smile lit his lips.  Pleasure.  An evening of pleasure.  He could only hope it would live up to the rumours.  And if it did, the five grand would be a small price to pay.

Sliding the invitation back into its envelope he leant back in his chair, propping his feet on the corner of his desk. It was the 25th today. Next week couldn't come fast enough.  Smiling wider, he beckoned his secretary in to start the daily business of running his real estate company.

This chapter was mild so again here is my 18+ notice for this book.  It's going to get hot fast
