Chapter 5- Dad

As Simon continued to pull up at the house your dad ran off down into the next street, he must not have even noticed you all pulling up as not once did he turn around or wait for you or even take a second to listen. He must have thought no one was in, which obviously there wasn't. You sat back and let out a sigh of relief. Simon noticed that you had become tense suddenly and that you were now calm again after the man had left but he didn't bother to ask what was wrong as he tried to focus on parking the car and unloading all the equipment. You all took a bag each and after Vik unlocked the front door, you all piled in and put the stuff in the living room. Normally it was Josh who would put everything away (everyone had voted him as most responsible to look after the equipment) so he went to do that. JJ had gone to the kitchen for food and Vik went up to his room to get straight on with editing. Leaving just you and Simon. For some reason you found it hard to talk to him, you just didn't have a clue what to say.
"Babe, are you...okay? You seemed a bit...tense back there that's all" he asked you softly obviously a bit concerned.

"Um yeah, no I'm fine don't worry I thought...I thought it was someone else at the door but it's fine" your voice cracked a little.

"Oh, who did you thi-"

"HEY GUYS! COME ON I MADE YOU ALL SOMETHING TO EAT" JJ's voice cut Simon off and with that the conversation ended.
After everyone had finished eating you all decided to watch some films together downstairs since all of the sidemen were going to be at the house tonight. The first thing they put on was hardly a film but a favourite T.V. Series "friends". Everyone loved it. As Tobi, Ethan and Harry turned up, you guys had already gotten through 6 episodes.
"Ah I love friends" announced Harry as he jumped onto the sofa next to Josh.
"Haha yeah but who doesn't?" Ethan laughed as he joined you all. Tobi then came in and sat next to you. You were lying across the sofa with your head upon simons thigh, but you quickly jumped up so there was room for Tobi. He smiled at you as a way of saying thanks and you smiled back and nodded.
After you all had finished 5 series it was 00:17 and the boys began to leave. They said they had to get some filming and editing done. Vik had waved them goodbye and locked the door behind them.
"Well, I'm off to bed" Josh said as everyone else agreed with him.
"Yeah same, man it's been a long day" JJ laughed as he wondered up the stairs. You and Simon followed him up as Vik cleared away the food and then went to bed too.
You lay in bed next to Simon, yet you didn't really acknowledge him at all. Your mind was still churning, just thinking about the situation with your dad. Why did he suddenly hate Simon? When you were at home he didn't ever seem to complain. You knew he didn't like him but he didn't hate him like your mum did. There's another thing. You hadn't heard from your mum all day since reading those messages this morning. She would have normally tried to call again by now. You turned over to the bedside table and reached out for your phone. As you switched it on you lowered the brightness down so it wouldn't wake Simon. Again you scrolled through notifications until you came to a text from your mum. Sent to you at 12:35. You were out filming when that was sent but you had left your phone behind accidentally. You clicked on it and it revealed a paragraph: "y/n look I'm sorry about everything, I never meant for this to happen. I think I've managed to come to terms with your relationship but I wish I could say the same for your father. He has gone off the rails since you left and I'm starting to get worried. He made his way down to your house saying he was going to "teach him a lesson" and take you back, but I don't know what exactly he has in mind, he left with a bat in his car, tape and rope. Y/n please be very careful keep the doors locked and tell Simon everything! It's for your own safety. Love from mum xx"
Holy shit. You began to cry with fear. Simon woke up to hearing you cry and immediately started to ask what was wrong but before you could answer, there was a loud crash from downstairs making the two of you jump.
"Fuck someone's downstairs" he gasped
"But who? Everyone is asleep si" you also gasped
"God knows y/n" he looked around the room and picked up a pole that was normally used for tripods.
"Simon what are you doing" you whispered a bit louder
"Shhhh! I'm going downstairs what else would I be doing?"
" NO. NO SIMON YOU CANT GO DOWN THERE ITS NOT SAFE!" You got louder
"For fuck sakes y/n be quiet! Don't worry I'll be fine" and so he left the room and slowly made his way downstairs.
As you heard him get further down you began to follow him. You noticed both Josh and JJ were already downstairs. Along with your dad...
