I was flipping through my mail when I found a letter from the local drag track. It was the oldies invitational. I guessed they had heard about my truck. It said I had
permission to invite another racer and had one free ticket. I called Wes and Jackson and they agreed to meet me and we would get everything set up. Wes beat me to the track and Jackson agreed to pull my trailer with the truck. We had a short conversation about the demonic goings on at the truck's test hit. I tuned up the truck and the Camaro in case i needed to win the truck back. The Camaro could out race any car here. The truck with a new manual 6 speed had a solid second after the Camaro. The only wild card in the deck was Wes and that Murder Z as I had begun to call it. First race was a call out and optional pink slip race. I called out a 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle and readied my truck for pinks. The truck made a beautiful pass and rewrote the name on the Chevelle's title. Next up the same deal I called out a 1969 Dodge Charger with a Nos kit and a General Lee paint job. I got to take it home too. Two races in and the truck and I were beginning to really jive. But the final test was yet to come.
