1.What stereotypes, if any, do you see in the following groups:
Women: In one of the movies they enforce women, and make the viewer see that a girl teenager can do a lot. Also in some of the sitcoms they give women multiples activities and hobbies like singing and dancing.
Men: They give men all the power, and make us see that he is always the hero of the movie, in some sitcoms, they show the reality, and how men can be insecure and can cry.
Intelligent people: In most of the movies and sitcoms they show a stereotype of "Nerds" or people that are always studying. They show them as lame people, using glasses, and that doesn't have friends.
Hot people: In this case, the hot people, can the in-crowd, or popular people. In this movie, they show them as jocks, and big guys that like making fun of the nerds and little guys. They always have the best house, the best cell phone, and the best car. Everyone in the school loves them and in certain form are afraid of them.
2. What values are being promoted by these programs and films?
That you need to try everything to succeed, not just stay there until the things you want to fall from the sky because that is not going to happen. They also show us that we can do a variety kind of things and that we should do many activities.
3. What is the moral of the story of each of the things you watched?
That no matter what race, gender or age you are, you can always make a little or big change.
4. Do you agree with the morals? Why or why not?
I do agree with the morals. Because they are true. We should accept everyone, no matter what race or gender they are. We cant judge people by the color of their skin or by the amount of money they own. We should judge them by what they have inside, their values
