Before I go to Jiyeon's house, I had to help halmeoni in her garden. Besides, our picnic will be late afternoon. Eomma and appa is currently in Incheon for work. They rarely come here in Mokpo since their schedules are always hectic there.
They left me with halmeoni to help her out here in the province and enrolled me in a school where I met my yeoja-chingus, my besties. There are six of us girls aspiring to be famous someday. How shallow right? Our schoolmates and relatives think it's ridiculous for a group of provincial girls to debut or even set foot on stage. I haven't been to Seoul YET but my dreams are already beyond that. Someday, it will come.
I should get out of my dreamland because I think I can hear halmeoni's voice right now.
"Mijoo-ah?" Grandma called me with her fragile voice. She peeked in my room.
"Ne?"
"Kindly help me out in harvesting the cabages."
"Ne." I got up from my bed.
"Ttohan..."
I was about to close my door room. "Waeyo? What is it halmeoni?"
"Ah, nothing. I just remembered something. Let's just go to the garden."
"Ok then." I shrugged and flashed my gummy smile to grandma.
"Aigoo, you're such a ball of sunshine." Halmeoni patted my head as we walked our way to the garden.
Grandma calls me sunshine or sunflower because she sees me that way. Such a sweet grandma.
Aside from vegetables, flowers are also present in the garden. Mother and I planted them years ago and now their blooming with bright colors. Daisies and sunflowers are everywhere. The garden is all colorful.
I hope eomma could see these. Before I even get emotional, I gotta go uproot and harvest some cabbages or else our shop won't sell.
Yes, we have a shop. We harvest and then get the vegetables and flowers delivered to the municipal thanks to Yein's ahjussi. Yein, one of the six girls I was referring to awhile ago, lives just across the fields behind our house, a 30 min walk away from us which is quite far.
Whenever me and my chingus have free time, we work together in the shop to sell the crops. Teamwork, we have that, that's why I love my girlies so much. ♡
I've been bending my back for minutes because of harvesting the cabbages. Dirt is all over my body but I'm quite used to it already. So I stood up and stretched my aching back.
Just as I was stretching, a few meters away from the garden, I saw people and wait...is that a set? I squinted my eyes. There are light sets, cameras, a van, etc. Seven fashionable guys were wandering around.
"Geuge mwoya?" My face filled with curiosity and annoyance.
Halmeoni looked up to see what I was referring to.
"Oh, that. Uhm, that's what I was about to tell you. A photo shoot will be held near our garden. They asked permission so-"
Before I even finished listening to grandma's explanations, I stomped my feet as I walked to them.
"Inyeoseokdeul..." I uttered while gritting my teeth.
It's as if a storm cloud is walking towards them, about to ruin the sunny weather they have in the effin set.
Few of them we're scattered around the so-called 'set'. I stormed my way as I cross every row of flowers in OUR garden. I was at the last row of flowers, on the edge of OUR garden. The distance from the set is about 5 meters away from the last row of flowers.
