"Jiae-ssi"
"Ne, eonni."
My sister was trying to remove her apron uniform and asked for my assistance.
My eonni works for this department store and so do I. I do part-time work here since my parents own this franchise of the convenience store. Sometimes, I'm in charge with either inventory or cashiere. We once lived in Seoul but had to move here in Mokpo, Jeollnam-do province, since we opened up a branch here.
Let's get back to my background story later, right after I finish my shift. We'll just talk about that some time.
It was already 8:30 am, morning shift for me. Eonni handed me the apron uniform and so I wore it along with the cap.
"Hand me the record book." I reached out to her the record book because she'll now work on the finance while I work on the cashiere.
A few hours passed but I'm deadass tired already. I rubbed my nape and stretched my arms a bit. I sat on the stool and I was about to unlock my phone when suddenly, the door bell rang, signalling customers just arrived.
There came 3 handsome men walking towards me? Uh...no. To the shelf to get some snacks. Ok.
Beautiful men rarely comes in my life and in this convenience store but I'm not saying just because this is a province does not mean Mokpo is entirely a rural area, it ain't a ghost town.
Anyway, I opened my SNS and was about to tell my friends about these cute guys in the store when,
"Oi, halmeoni, your customers are waiting."
Ohmahgawd sister, you didn't have to call me grandma in front of them. It's humiliating. I looked down to hide my beet-red face with my cap and proceeded.
"Jin hyung, add this" The cute little prince gave the Lotte chocolate bar.
"Ok." He nodded in agreement.
Did everything in just seconds. Phew.
That so-called 'Jin hyung' handed the money and gosh! His fingers brushed to mine. I'm melting, send help. Keep it cool, Jiae.
I got the receipt and gave the change but this time, his other also prince-like friend got them since they're carrying what they bought.
"Kamsahabnidaaaang" He replied cheerfully. Aaaaw, such a ball of sunshine. I cannot.
"Ne" I replied softly and bowed slightly.
They went out and left me all smiling here, dumbfounded by their beauty. I let out a big sigh.
I sat back on the stool and sent the message I was supposed to send to my yeoja-chingus. But, a few seconds after that, the door bell once again rang. I looked up to see another customer as fashionable as the three guys earlier.
This customer has that really messy hair who obviously just woke up. He banged the drink on the counter top.
So he has that attitude huh. What a great morning to ruin my mood awhile ago.
"That will be ₩1500" I asked nicely. Take note, NICELY but this punk just scattered the money on the counter.
Be glad I still have the patience. I fakely smiled to him as I hardly picked up the money without looking at it. I slightly gritted my teeth then placed the money in the cashier, handed the receipt and his change but he didn't even lift his palm to get it so I just placed them on the counter top.
