Evelyn's pov
I opened the the backdoor to our house and tried to sneak in quietly so Harry wouldn't know I was home but wasn't successful.
"Evelyn are you home, sweetie?" I internally groaned when he called me sweetie, knowing that someone was here.
"Yeah dad." I said rolling my eyes. 'No, it's the boogeyman.' I walked out to the living room, forcing a smile onto my face as I greeted a tall, masculine man with sleek, black hair. He turned to me and smirked then turned back to my dad.
"Sir I have a right to believe that you haven't been taking proper care of this child." He stated pointing at me. His voice sound familiar as he spoke this. I tried to remember where I heard his voice but all my thoughts kept going to Ironhide.
'But that's not possible, Ironhide's a...' I was snapped back into reality when I heard my father yelling at the man.
"WHO THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOU ARE." My father stepped towards him clenching his hands into fists, ready to punch him. I ran in front of the man last second and ended up getting punched dead in the jaw.
I stumbled back a few steps and reached my hand up to my mouth. I felt my lip but instantly regretted it when pain shot through my whole jaw. I pulled my hand back down and saw blood trickling between my fingers.
"YOU STUPID GIRL!" Harry grabbed me by the hair and started to bang my head against the wall with full force. I screamed out in pain as my head collided into the wall, leaving a hole there. He pulled my head back, ready to hit my head against the wall again when a fist connected to Harry's nose, making a horrible crunching sound. I looked over and saw the man glaring daggers at my father. He picked Harry up by the collar and lifted him up to his eye level since he was a good 6" taller than him.
"Don't touch her." He hissed then dropped my father to the floor. "C'mon Evelyn." He said while gently grabbing my arm and walked me to the front door. When he opened the door, I saw Ironhide in his vehicle form parked on the grass.
"Ironhide?" I asked growing confused.
"What?" The man beside me asked and turned towards me with a scowl on his face.
"How are you human?" I asked as he opened the passenger door for me. I climbed in and felt the seatbelt snake down across me, clicking into place.
"It's our holoform. It's so we can blend in with crowds." He said bluntly after he climbed into the driver's seat. I nodded and stretched my arms over my head, yawning. "You should get some recharge," He said while his holoform started to disappear. "I'll be right here." He whispered.
Ironhide's pov
I watched as she started to fall asleep in my cab and sighed to myself as I continued to drive. 'What was I thinking?' I thought, scolding myself for being such an idiot. 'She's not my problem. I should've just left her be. Maybe it's not to late to turn back.' I was about to turn around when I felt her shift in my seat to get more comfortable.
"Thanks for helping me Hide." She mumbled then buried her face into my seat, falling back asleep. I smiled as I felt her steady heart beating and relaxed as I kept going forward to find the other autobots.
"No problem kid." I whispered more to myself than her. 'You better not drool on my seat though, or I will take you back.' I thought, internally groaning at the idea of saliva on my leather seat.
"Goodnight Hide." She said already half asleep.
"Night Evelyn."
