The crowds were chanting his name. Men cheered from the top of the lighthouse. Children held banners on the top of the chapel. Mothers were in their kitchens baking apple pie that could make any man drool. Was Tristan the strongest man in the world? The world was about to find out. Tristan walked up to the podium. He always had an arrogant air to him, but what could one say? He had ever reason to be conceited. He was over seven feet tall. He had perfect brown hair and absolutely magnificent big green eyes. His teeth shone as bright as the stars.

There were three men that stood in front of him. They each held an item that was unbreakable. The first man held a piece of bark from the Evergreen Forest. All of the trees are blessed with immortality by the nature fairies. Every morning the nature fairies make the bark of the evergreen trees as unbreakable as a diamond.

Tristan smirked as he snatched the bark from the man's hand. Without stopping for a breath, Tristan broke the bark in two. The bark disintegrated into a pile of golden dust beside Tristan's feet, marking the defeat of the nature fairies.

The second man held a piece of volcanic glass from The Tunnel of Fire. The Tunnel of Fire is the world's largest volcano but is best known for holding the indomitable volcanic glass. All volcanoes produce volcanic glass, but The Tunnel of Fire produces volcanic glass that will burn a man's hand with a single touch.

Tristan almost laughed as he grabbed the volcanic glass and pushed the man aside. In a spilt second, Tristan broke the volcanic glass apart, creating a cloud of steam. Shards of shattered volcanic glass flew through the steam in all directions like nails going through a wooden board. The girls shrieked and the women ducked in fear.

The third man was meek, short monk in a red robe to big for his skinny body. He walked up to Tristan.

"If it is this monk that shall prove my strength, I shall break him in two," Tristan said as he flexed his muscles.

The girls giggled. The women looked at the monk with pity. The men laughed in their deep, hollow voice.

"You are quite mistaken, Sir," the monk said in his timid voice.

The monk took another step forward.

"It is my soul that shall be your challenge," the monk said.

The monk took a grey orb, the consistency of air, out of his heart.

Tristan walked up confidently and took the orb out of the monk's hand. He sweat, he gasped for air, but he was not even able to create a crack in the orb.

It was the monk's soul that was more powerful than any object on the face of this planet. His intellect and self-esteem made his soul as unbreakable as a diamond. His wit and humor burned right through Tristan's hand as if from The Tunnel of Fire.

And it was his kindness and integrity that made him as weightless as a bird flying across the cloudless sky.
