All I Need...

Chapter 2

     “Hey Miller” Harry smirks as Niall and I walked over to the table Harry was already sitting at. “I feel like I haven’t seen you in forever”

     “Yeah well that’s not my fault, is it?” I don’t know why I’m being so snippy but I guess I’m just frustrated. I want to know what I even did to him. He has always been a little grumpy and moody but he was usually more sweet and fun to be around which made up for it, until recently. 

      “What’s gotten into you? Aw, did somebody have a bad day?” Harry smirks again. His smirk is starting to annoy me. I roll my eyes and see that Niall’s giving me a ‘be nice’ look. I look back at Harry and put on a fake smile.

     “Nope, everything’s terrific” I hear the door to the diner open and I look over to see Mackenzie scan the place and stroll over once her eyes land on us.

     “Hey guys!” she says excitedly. “I just saw the cutest little girls out there with one direction shirts. Your fans are everywhere! I can’t imagine how cool it would be to have fans. I was gonna say something to them but I didn’t want to make a scene. They were too fast for me anyways” I smile at how bubbly and talkative she is.

     “Kenz, you should take a breath” Harry laughs and I smile again. His laugh is actually really adorable. No, I can’t think nice things about him. He’s being a jerk. Kenz nods and takes in a dramatic breath

     “Ok, I’m good now. So how are you guys? Anything new?” she asks 

     “Well Natalie here is feeling feisty today” I groan because he’s not letting this go “It’s quite entertaining”

     “Harry, shut up” just then, a waitress comes up to us and takes our orders 

     “woah, am I missing something here? Mackenzie looks between Harry and I, confusion across her face.

     “They’re both snippy today” Niall shakes his head.

     “I was fine before he started acting like an asshole” I mumble, referring to Harry. 

     “Well anyways…” Kenz changes the subject and starts a conversation about books with Niall. I just sit there until our food arrives and the two book experts dig in and continue their conversation while I just take apart my burger and look up to see that Harry has been staring at me. I roll my eyes and check the time on my phone. 11:23am. It’s pretty early and I’m already ready to go home and crawl into my bed and pass out. “Nat, you have to eat. You don’t want your stomach to make freakish noises during your interview” Kenz laughs and takes the last bite of her burger and continues to finish off her fries. 

     “No, I don’t” I chuckle and take a bite and notice Harry’s attention is on his own food but looks up at me when Kenz mentions the interview.

     “What interview?” he raises an eyebrow

     “To get a job to be a photographer’s assistant” I shrug and continue eating

     “When is it?” He asks

     “3:30. Why?” Why does he even care?

     “I don’t know. I’m just a curious person” he smiles at me, showing off his deep dimples. I can’t help but smile back. I’m supposed to be mad at him…

     “Well I’m full now. What do you guys wanna do now?” I ask as I push away my half eaten plate of food. I guess I wasn’t as hungry as I thought I was.

     “Well Kenz wants to show me some ‘cool new store’ but you guys can come” Niall says while standing up from the table as the rest of us do the same.
