The sirens rang out again
" For heaven's sake" she was late for inspection and this time there would definitely be repercussions. If she was caught that is. Throwing her pale strands of hair into a ponytail she snuck into line next to a curly redhead girl and tried to even out her breathing.
" Late again Lillian" the redhead murmured under her breath.
With a laugh Lillian replied " Late? Me? Never".
" Elizabeth Weaver" was called.
The redhead stepped up to be scanned, ending their conversation. Lillian was then called, scanned, and cleared. Now she had three hours to kill.
Lillian missed the signal. Actually she didn't get a signal. The Baker's son was supposed to distract the guard on his 5:00 round so that she could deactivate the sensors and get into the weapons vault. Of Course nothing ever goes as planned.
"Andy" she cursed under her breath as she saw the guard heading her way.
"The dope must have gotten distracted by God knows what" she thought.
Quickly she ripped up her clothes and scratched at her face, she had to look the epitome vulnerability for this to work like she needed it to. As the guard approached she got a better look at him. A boy in his late teens.
" perfect" she whispered gleefully.
When he was close enough she rean out of her hiding spot and collapsed at his feet crying.
" Please don't let him hurt me! I'll do anything just don't let him get me" she pleaded
The boy looked confused " slow down and tell me what happened"
" I got away but he is still out there please don't let him get me" she whispered voice rising in pitch
Taking the bait she boy asked " did he... uh did he..."
"Yes" she murmured hiding a smirk behind her hands.
Crouching down next to her he lifted her face so that her eyes met his.
With a gentle voice he said " don't worry I won't let him hurt you ever again."
" thank you" she breathed peering at him through her lashes before kissing his cheek.
Blushing and running his hands through his hair " What did he look like" he questioned.
" He was tall and had a snake tattoo wrapped around his left arm" she mumbled
With a nod the guard stood up and turned to go searched for the made up man before stopping.
He turned to her with a smile " You never told me your name"
" Fraus" she said with a laugh
Once she could no longer see the back of the guard she had sent away she retrieved her bag and was on her way to the weapons vault. Once she made it inside she could finally breath.
" now comes the fun part" she thought.
She almost made it back without a problem and was only stopped once on her way out of the city.
" Stop, all bags must be checked when leaving city limits" barked a guard.
Feigning innocence while trying to find a way out of this she gasped " oh,sorry"
She moved to take the backpack off her back when another guard comes running over.
" Rolf, you're needed in sector five to lead a man-hunt" the guard hums
With a nod the older guard turns and leaves.
Letting out a sigh of relief I laugh " thanks james that was a close one".
" You're lucky I was there cupcake or you would've been dead meat" he said ruffling her hair
Swatting his hand away Lillian glared " I wouldn't have been dead meat"
"Of course not, now let me see the bag" James mocked
She handed over the bag willingly " I don't appreciate the attitude Jay"
" Shhh, did you get a lot of sparklies?" he teased
She rolled her eyes "obviously"
"Good girl" he praised
With a reluctant smile she said " can I go now"
" Be on your way you demon child" he said with a laugh and a wave of his hand.
Lillian made it to her destination, an old mattress factory, and finally relaxed.
" I brought presents" she bellowed once she get through the door.
Elizabeth looked Lillian up and down " What took so long and what happened to your clothes?"
"Andy..." She trailed off as Andy entered the room
Everyone stared at him and he froze in place
" Why are you all staring at me like that?" he asked
Lillian waved " Hi Andy"
His eyes widened in realization " SH-"
" Language!" His dad called cutting him off
Bowing his head Andy apologized " Look Lilli I'm sorry"
" Forgiven but not forgotten" she warned
A stone faced woman stepped into the room " Lets see what you got girl"
" Something you will like I hope." Lillian joked
After the woman was done inspecting the weapons she nodded " Not bad" .
" Now!" she clapped her hands together " how do we get a resistance member on the inside?"
A grin took over Lillian's face
" What is it child?" the woman asked.
" They wouldn't necessarily have to be a jail guard right?" she wondered aloud.
"Right" The woman said slowly not sure where Lillian was going with this.
"What if they were a prisoner?" she asked
"That would work" the woman narrowed her eyes " What did you do?"
Lillian threw her hands up " Nothing , I just sent a guard on a wild goose chase."
" Lillian!" the woman cursed " Fine I will help you clean up your mess."
" Great! He is looking for a man with a snake tattoo!" Lillian said
The woman growled angrily " I'm a dentist not a tattoo artist!"
" But you're the best artist here and you did say you would help" the girl pleaded
The woman shook her head " You're lucky I like you, but I'm still mad at you"
" I can live with that" she laughed.
They both agreed that Andy would be a good choice and hopefully he would finally do something useful for the organization. When they called him over he had a look of fear on his face but Lillian didn't blame him she wouldn't want to be in is shoes at the moment. The woman looked at him without an ounce of pity and started on the snake. After a minuet Lillian walked away with a smile on her face. Forgiven but forgotten.
