Chapter 2

I smirked smugly as I exited Ms. Huragun's office. I knew those pictures would come in handy. I smiled proudly down at my trusty old camera.

The things I and my camera have seen. The school would be in chaos if I actually let anyone see my pictures.

I dug through my bag and grabbed my schedule, normally I knew my schedule by heart, but we were only three weeks into the new school year and I was yet to memorise it. I glanced down at the piece of paper and groaned it was going to be a long day.

Monday

Period 1- English, Ms. Greene

Period 2- History, Mr. Smith

Break

Period 3- French, Ms. DeLaFleur

Period 4- Mathematics, Mr. Millar

Lunch

Period 5- Chemistry, Mr. Paolini

I walk down the hall to my first period, English. Class had already started when I got there and Ms. Greene glanced at me annoyed that I had interrupted her lecture but she didn’t say anything.

One word and everyone would find out what she was really smoking behind the school buildings last week, because it certainly wasn’t cigarettes.

I walk down the aisle in the middle of the classroom to get to my empty seat at the back  the seat next to it as empty as it has always been. I know what your thinking she takes pictures of teacher's making a fool out of themselves she’s popular right. Wrong.

Im as unpopular as it gets because not only do I have dirt on most of the teachers in the school, I have dirt on most of the students too and bad things happen to people who mess with me. They found this out the hard way.

Two years ago this jock Stuart Adams asked me out. I know, I know, what was I thinking? But I said yes and was actually looking forward to it too, this was the first time a boy had ever taken an intrest in me.

It wasn't because I wasn't pretty just not very socially active I'd rather spend the night out with my camera taking pictures than go to a party and get drunk out of my mind like other teenagers my age did.

Turns out the only reason he asked me out was on a bet his friends gave him and that he already had a girlfriend that he stood me up for. I'm not a naturally mean person, nor did I believe that getting revenge solved any problems but standing outside in the dress id used my savings to buy and shivering my but off only to be stood up, well that hurt.Alot.

Wasn’t it enough that my dad left me without even saying goodbye and the only person my mother cares about is herself. So yeah I got mad, I mean who wouldn’t?

So the next day at school, after every one of the popular group had a go at taunting me, I followed him home. I wasn’t exactly sure why, but I had noticed that he didn’t have a car.

I knew that other people had noticed it too but he had shrugged it off and told them it was because he needed the extra exercise for football practise and thay had believed him. I however wasn’t fooled what was the jerk hiding?

It turned out that Stuart James had a secret of his own, he live in the poorer side of town. I know what you’re thinking what is the big deal in that. You see all of the popular’s live in huge, grand mansions and have rich mummies and daddies.

There wasn’t one kid in the ‘it’ group that wasn’t loaded, it just didn’t happen. Luckily for me I’d brought my camera along because I wanted revenge, I would expose him for what he really was.

The next day I went to school early and printed out hundreds of posters of the picture I had taken of Stuart James standing in the doorway of a tiny, run down, old house hugging a woman who looked like an older, tired, more feminine version of him and hung them up all around the school.

I don’t know what possessed me to sign my name at the bottom of the picture but I did and Stuart James was the joke of the school, the poor kid so desperate to fit in with the rich kids. Needless to say he was stripped of his title as the ‘it’ boy and his head cheerleader and fake bimbo girlfriend Ashley Jones dumped him and it was all because of me.

No one messes with me and gets away with it and it’s because of that, that most people tend to avoid me. Now I never was popular before, but I wasn’t the social reject and outcast I am now.

As I sat in my seat contemplating my miserable life I saw the new ‘it’ couple Daniel Carte and Ashley Jones had wasted no time and were already making out in the seats in front of mine. Ms Greene was probably too high to notice, but it was really sickening to watch especially since I knew it was all fake.

They were together because they looked good together. Both of them were rich, blonde and popular, but me and my camera both knew that Ashley was still secretly seeing Stuart and that Daniel didn't play for that team.

I cleared my throat and watched as they stopped their snog fest and looked up to humiliate the one who had dared to interrupt them.

“ If you don’t stop trying to eat each others faces off in my presence the whole school might just find out your secrets” I say smiling innocently at there pale, shocked faces.

"and we certainly don't want that do we".

It’s safe to say I won’t be seeing there horrifying displays of affection for a while.

I lay my head down on my desk and zoned out of the lesson, and the next four after that until soon enough it was lunch time. I grin wandering what me and my camera would be discovering today.
