"Cinder, come help me and Grisella prep for the ball right now!" Cinderella's stepmother barked.
"Yes ma'am," Cinderella called.
"Get me prepared first, Cinder." Grisella said and threw her dress to Cinderella. It was a pretty thing, sea-blue with elegant waves and curves at the bottom, making it look really beautiful. It was a pity the dress was worn by such a hideous girl.
"What! How disrespectful you are! I'm prepped first." Cinderella's stepmother Joanne thwacked Grisella on the head. "Here, prep me," Cinderella's stepmother threw her dress to Cinderella and ordered snobbishly. Hers was stunning too, but in a different way. It was pale rose-coloured and covered with sparkling sequins, reflecting light everywhere. It was perfect if only worn by Cinderella.
After an exhausting round of pulling sashes, doing hair, doing makeup and pulling zippers, everyone was ready. Except Cinderella.
"Let's go Grisella," Joanne said, waving her hand to the horse-carriage waiting outside. "And you! Don't get into any trouble or else! "The sentence ended with a threat in the air.
"Yes, ma'am," Cinderella replied obediently.
As soon as the door slammed shut and the clip-clop of horse hoofs faded away, Cinderella broke down on the floor and shook and wept, thinking of the trapped life she was living in. When could she have freedom? She thought sadly. There was no getting out of it. She really wanted to experience some time with Prince Charming, even if she didn't have a chance to dance with him.
She sighed and started to do some housework to distract herself. Cinderella tried to cheer herself up as she grabbed a broom and started sweeping every corner of the house.
"Tut, tut, tut, such a pretty girl would be wasted away doing such chores. What have you in mind, m 'lady? You seem a bit depressed." A voice rang out behind Cinderella.
Cinderella jumped in shock and fright. Then she spun around, clutching her broom as a 'weapon' in front of her, only to see the most peculiar person she had ever seen standing in front of her.
It was hard to tell the person's age. She looked like a teenager and an old grandma kind of mixed together. She had short but flowing blond hair which was slightly curly. She was absolutely breath-taking! Her eyes were soft and kind, with her lips lightly curved upwards into a genuine smile. With obviously pointed ears, she looked like an imp, or maybe an elf. She wore a tight vest covering all her clothes underneath with a short skirt covered in feathers. Wings sprouted from her back and she clutched a fairy wand in her small hands.
Here's the picture of her <3 <3⬇
*So yeah let's stop admiring her for a second and continue the story* ^0^
"Who are you? Why did you suddenly appear in my home?" Cinderella stammered, not really comforted by the woman's harmless look. She brandished the broom in front of her menacingly.
"As for the first question, I'll let you guess it on your own. As for the second question...hmm...I've come to help you." The woman said cheerfully.
"Answer me! Who are you?" Cinderella's voice quavered.
"Well, my child, don't you know me? "
"I'm the famous fairy-godmother,"
