Rhymed verse:

Me and the Sea-

One with the ocean, one with the sea,
Sometimes I hear it speaking to me.
In its presence I feel as free as can be.
I myself, am one with the sea.

As a young venturesome girl,
on my scalp an endless amount of  curls,
I would gaze as the waves whirled
fond of the prepossessing shells and pearls.

And then we collected our bags and moved away,
and something horrid became of my days.
And in a numerous amount of  ways,
my soul and identity began to fade.

My heart belonged to the crystal blue ocean,
abandoning it resulted in a monstrous commotion.
As my thoughts became one messy motion,
I began to develop wrong devotions.

Until an unforeseen vacation came along
and on the way we all sang an enchanting song.
I was back to where I knew I belonged
The place that I have forever longed.

I was back to the sparkling sea
where I knew I was as free as I could be.
I felt the warm sand on my cold feet,
And It was finally just me and the sea.
