Dear Diary,
We left Seattle about about an hour ago and now we are on the plane. Me and Leah opened the rest of our fortune cookies like 20 minutes ago, since we had forgotten all about them the past couple of days. I got one that said "you will find true love" and another that said "you will have great fortune". I assumed that meant that we had great fortune because we ate a lot of fortune cookies, and for the true love thing, I know I finally had my first kiss but it was hard to say goodbye to Liam. And it was hard for Leah to say goodbye to George, too. She got a fortune cookie that said "look on the bright side" and "true friends are forever".
Before we left Seattle we stopped by the dock where our house boat used to be to put some flowers on the dock, which was now dedicated to my Aunt Laura. I picked a combination of violets and roses, because violets are my favorite flower and mom said that roses were Aunt Laura's favorite. We even bought a special flower pot for the flowers and got it engraved to say "You will always be in my heart." I will forever be thankful for the day that Aunt Laura saved my life and perished while doing so. Sometimes I wish that she would've just left the boat to save herself, but my mom told me that she would've done anything to save my life or any of my siblings' lives, and it's what she wanted for me. Because of her, I am alive today. I just wish I could have met her. It seems like she was such an amazing person, and a hero.

The next couple weeks were like any normal summer. Me and Leah went to the pool a lot, went out for ice cream, and also went bike riding a few times. Mom and dad decided to tell Joey and Anna about Aunt Laura, and Joey seemed to almost remember her in a blur of memories. Anna cried, but got back up ten minutes later to play outside with her new friend, Jenna, the one I had seen her with on the Beach that one day.
Me and Leah had a ton of sleepovers, and called Liam and George up on the phone a lot. We missed them a lot, and they missed us, too. We wished we didn't have to say goodbye to them so soon after meeting them, but we expected that to happen when we first met them, so it was a little easier for us to accept it.
One Day, George called Leah up with some good news.
"Hey, Leah!"
"Hi!" said Leah. She had it on speaker phone so I could hear, too, just like we did with all of our phone calls at sleepovers.
"I have some great news! You'll never believe it."
"What is it?" Leah asked excidedly.
"Me and Liam were in a fishing contest, and we won!"
"Wow, that's great! Congratulations!"
"But that's not even the best part. We were invited to be in the next fishing contest, IN FLORIDA! It's in two weeks, and the winner gets twenty thousand dollars each. So if our team wins, me and Liam each get twenty thousand dollars!"
"Oh my god! That's amazing! So we really get to see each other in two weeks?" Leah held her hand to the phone so George couldn't hear her screaming, but he probably did anyway, and when she looked over at me my mouth dropped basically to the floor and I let out a silent scream.

Dear Diary,
Me and Leah are at the fishing tournament right now! Liam looks so cute in his fishing hat and shorts. When I saw him for the first time today since Seattle, he ran up to me and picked me up in his arms, twirling me around before setting me down for a kiss. Leah and George went somewhere near the beach bathroom stalls and were probably making out. I wished Liam good luck as he walked onto the dock, getting ready for the competition. George and Liam were on a team together, and to win, all they needed to do was catch the the most fish. I was very confidant they would walk away with the prize money. I wondered what they were going to do with it though? My best guess was that they were probably going to trade their old, paint-chipped cars in and buy brand new ones!
