My eyes slowly opened and focused on my ceiling. I stretched, and then turned to my alarm clock. I cancelled the alarm as I woke up early anyway. It was the first day of school.
I got up and started to put all of my school stuff together. I had a shower, got dressed, done my teeth, and went to the bus stop.
Because I was early, I was the only one here. The bus stop is nice. Only now I've really paid attention to it. It overlooks a river, with nice hills. Flowers everywhere. It's gorgeous.
As I was taking in the view, I got a text message from an unknown number. It read:
Hello. Hope you're ready for school. You're going to learn so much today.
I didn't think much of it. I thought maybe it was a friend who knows what classes I have. Or maybe a family member. Boy, was I wrong.
-----------
'Bye!' Came a voice from my friend, as we parted ways after getting off the bus.I started to head towards my form room, when I was tapped on my shoulder. I turned around and weirdly, there was no one there. Once again, I thought nothing of it. 'First day nerves' I thought.
I continued walking towards my form room after the weird encounter.
-----
I finally arrived to my form room and waited outside. I watched as all of the people in the corridor were screaming and shouting. I stayed in the corner, by my form door.My teacher finally arrived and started to open the door.
'Morning' she said, in a sing song tone, whilst opening the door and signalling us to come in.
I went in and chose a seat out the way of everyone. When the class had finally settled down, she started to do the register.
As my name was called, I shouted 'here', and at that point, everything went off. The computer, the lights, everything. Everyone's phones weren't responding to anything.. apart from mine.
-buzz buzz-
I picked my phone up from the desk, and stared at the screen.
I read the message over and over again to make sure what I was seeing was true. It was a photo message. Of us. I looked out the door, but seen nothing as it was too dark.-----
We had been sat in silence, pacing around, for about.. 20 minutes?
The teacher tried to calm everyone down, but she didn't succeed. She came over to me.
'You okay?' She asked.
'I'll be fine' I said, reassuringly.
'Do you have anyone to talk to?' She asked.
'No. In school I'm kind of marginalised. No one likes me' I said. 'apart from my one friend'
'Oh. Well I'm sure the lights and stuff will be on soon, and I'm sure your friend is fine' she said, walking over to the computer to try it again.
'I hope' I mumbled and fell into deep thought.
-----------
I know it's short but I'm tired. Good night😂
