Once there lived a Latvian baguette called Francis. It wanted to have a happy life living as a baguette, and it did. Turns out that Francis was a magic Latvian baguette, it could wish for absolutely anything and everything, and it would come true. Francis the Latvian baguette went around granting people wishes. The people were frightened at first when a talking baguette wanted to grant their wishes, but after Francis explained that he was magic, everyone obviously believed him and didn't think they were hallucinating, the hallucinations seemed very unlikely to them, I mean, wouldn't you believe a magic, talking, Latvian baguette that granted wishes? You're a liar if you say you wouldn't.
Francis was travelling all around the world. He had granted many people their wishes and made them happy, however sometimes, he wanted to be able to grant his own wishes, him being an intelligent baguette and all, and don't be mistaken, he could do that, but he didn't want to be selfish. Francis was not a selfish baguette.
One of his most desired wishes was to find love. As weird as it seemed, Francis only wanted to be loved. He felt as though people only needed him because he could grant wishes and didn't want him anymore after they got what they wished for. He wanted to feel needed, but that would never happen. He was alone in this world, he was a lone wol-, um... baguette. The only intelligent baguette in this world was him. He was the only one.
Francis had then travelled to France. Specifically Paris, the city of love. This saddened Francis, knowing he would never find true love. He decided to go to the Eiffel tower to grant wishes to cheer himself up.
What he had found there though, was more surprising than a talking baguette, or maybe it wasn't. It was another wish granting baguette! He thought that he was the only one! Francis suddenly felt very self conscious (Side-note: Francis was secretly very insecure about his appearance).
Finally, after 5 minutes of contemplating what to do, Francis managed to muster up the courage to talk to this baguette. The second baguette seemed just as surprised as he was initially, however they ended up talking for hours. Her name was Paris and she was Canadian, Francis learned. Francis had learned much more about her as they talked for longer.
They went on a tour of the city, just the two of them. They fell in love, it was obvious that it was gonna be true love at first sight. Francis had gotten his wish after all, no magic necessary.
And they all lived happily ever after,
The end.

Wait.
Did you really think that it was going to be that easy for two baguettes to live peacefully in this world? Should have thought again.
Paris (the baguette) was eaten. The person thought that they were hallucinating and ignored the friendly baguette's offer of wanting to grant their wishes. Francis didn't have much to live for. Humanity had failed him. It had failed A BAGUETTE! Francis had tried to wish her back, but even the strongest of magic couldn't bring back something dead. Life wasn't fair Francis then learned. He didn't want to grant wishes to a world where it seemed insane to believe in magic.
Francis had wished to become a normal baguette. Francis was eaten. Francis didn't care. He was a simple, plain baguette after all.
They did not live happily ever after, actually they did not live at all in,
The End.
A/N: This is the best writing I've ever done.
