I'm really very sorry for the late update. But I hope this long chapter makes up for it. Without further ado, read on....

After serving and having our dinner we finally came into our room.

"Guess what?", I asked Naksh with the excitement of a kid going to an amusement park.

"You....look way too excited today. What's the matter?",he asked with a puzzled look.

"That's exactly why I'm asking you to guess. Now come on !"

"Okay, Okay. Ummm... You won a lottery?"

"No" I said blandly.

"You found a treasure, maybe?"

"Really? Like seriously? Is this all you can guess?", I asked irked.

"Oh! please Mango break the suspense and tell me, you know I'm not good in the guessing game."

"Awww..." I started... you lose!" I deadpanned him.

"For you, always", he winked.

Ignoring him, I continued, "Actually the thing is my bestie, Ayaz is throwing a reunion party this saturday and we're both invited. I'm really excited to meet him after a such long time"

"At what time?", Naksh suddenly asked.

"Uhh...somewhat around 8 at night." I answered.

I studied his face for a second and figured out something was bothering him. So I asked, "What happened? You look tensed."

"I'm really very sorry Arohi but I have an appointment on the day. I'm really very sorry."

"You always do this. You love your work more than me. I know it!" I said melodramatically.

"No, No Arohi. I'm really sorry, it's a really important one, otherwise I wouldn't have. I'm so sor-"

My laughter didn't let him complete his sentence. "I was just kidding. Don't worry, I totally understand."

"Oh! You just scared me", he said as his face came down from high alert to normal. "But anyways, I promise I'll be there to you up".

"Proooommiiseee???", I asked in a singsong voice.

"Yesssss!! My Mango", he said in the same tone, "and please don't forget to enjoy the party, okay?"

"O-kay", I said chirpily.

I asked mum for her permission and she readily said yes. "Thank you", I said.

"But only on one condition", Mom continued.

"What's that?", Naksh and I both asked.

She said the exact words I wanted to hear. "Only if you promise to pick her up from the party", mum said directing towards Naksh.

Naksh smiled and said, "aapka hukm sar aankhon par".

I booked a cab and reached the venue in almost an hour. As soon as I got down from the cab, I found a board showing directions to the party inside the building. I followed it and entered a huge hall with high ceilings. 'He really did get lucky in the West', I thought to myself.

I started dialing his number when I felt a tap on my back. I turned around to see a tall girl with nutbrown hairs smiling at me. "Are you Arohi?", she asked.
I answered a hesitating 'yes'.
