There once was a girl of about 13 years old who was stuck in a very square room. This room had no doors, no windows, and was as tall as it was wide. How she got into this room, not one person, even her, knows.
This girl knew nothing about herself. A name? She hasn't one. A family? None to be seen. She had no memories of anything but years in her square room. Her entire world was limited to what she could imagine, but this was very hard when she had never seen any items or places but herself and her square room.
You could guess that a lifetime in a square room could get very boring. Sometimes she would walk along the walls and count how many foot steps it took to get from corner to corner and compare. But this being a square room, every wall was always approximately 13 feet and one big toe long. Needless to say, there was not much to do.
One day she woke up to a small, purple, glowing star attached to a gold string hanging from the ceiling. It shown so bright it turned the purple walls, floor, and ceiling a light purple she had never seen before. Her eyes were draw to it like a moth immediately as this was the first new thing she had ever seen. But as she stood up and tried to reach out and touch it, it was just high enough that she couldn't reach.
She stood on the very tips of her tippy toes and would even try to bounce to reach it, but she just couldn't seem to get close enough. As much as she tried, she couldn't seem to reach it. Pounding on the walls to make it wobble and fall didn't seem to work. Running and jumping in a full on sprint, well, ask fast as should could in a 13 foot and one big toe room, did no help either.
For the first time, she felt a very strong emotion. Anger. The frustration of finding something new and having it just out of reach boiled inside her. Her hands clenched and her body was shaky. She had not idea what to do with this emotion, but all she knew was she waned to hit something.
It's very hard to take out your anger on something when your in an empty square room. She stomped her feet on the floor, balled up her socks and through them, and would let out a squeaky grown now and then.
After she calmed down she tried again. More and more ideas and none of them worked. She tried throwing her balled up socks at the star but no matter how well she aimed he sock always seemed to be deflected by the star. One could have sworn the shining of the star was brighter and the room shined more purple with every attempt, as if to taunt her.
She tried day in and day out to make the star fall so she could hold it and look at it. Her anger grew and her rage made her shake again. She went of and hit the wall, but for some reason it didn't hurt her hand as she had expected.
In fact, she hardly felt it at all. She pulled her fist back and hit the wall as hard as she could one more time. But to her surprise, again she didn't feel pain. Her hand more of sinked slightly into the wall when she hit instead of crushing against the wall. She stood up and softly kicked the wall, but to this the wall acted as it normally would. Maybe she had just imagined it.
Many agonizing days full of frustration later, the star still high still from the same spot on the ceiling. At this point the room shown brighter purple than ever and the extreme shine from the star made it very hard for her to think. The more she tried the heavier her brain seemed to feel.
At the point she took her anger out with a full on kick to the wall and again she found herself not experiencing pain. She looked down and softy kicked the wall again and he wall went back to normal. She thought for a while about this and tried kicking harder, this made her foot slightly sink into the wall and bounce back out painlessly. She thought about this again and realized how the wall worked.
She pulled her foot back as hard as possible and kicked with as much force as she could. All her brain was telling her was that this would hurt a lot, but to no surprise it sunk a ways into the wall and came back out pain free.
Her thoughts had shifted from the star to the strange wall she never realized had this seemingly magical power. She pulled back as far she she could to one wall and ran at the wall, expecting to break a nose or something. But of course, she bounce back pain free except for a little on her bum from landing on the non magical floor.
She tried this again but sprinted a little more. Her feet sped under her and this time she tried hitting headfirst. In the brief milliseconds she was in the wall she tried to see if the was anything in there. She thought her eyes saw some blurry colored but that could be from repeatedly hitting her head in a wall. She landed back on the floor.
The next few days we spent with her laying around on the floor looking at the star and thinking about the wall. She never had this much to think about. As far as she knew, the two weren't related. How long had the wall been like this? Could she have been able to bounce off it after all this time?
She got up and walked over to it and lightly pressed her finger to it. But to this nothing happened. She tapped it, still nothing. Finally she hit it and it bounced a bit. For some reason the harder she hit it, the less it hurt her and became more reflective.
She stood up, walked to a corner, closed her eyes and sprinted as fast as she could. When she got close enough to the wall she jumped and hurled herself into the wall, eyes still shut preparing for landing back on the floor. She felt the stretch of the wall, but the landing was different.
She opened her eyes and found herself laying in green grass. Her eyes couldn't leave the tangled grass her face and body was laying in. Her finger tangled through each blade and she pulled one out. She jumped up to her feet dropping the blade of grass she just pulled out of the ground mortified. She had broken some grass.
She looked around and found herself in a large field full of flowers and grass for as far as she could see, but some how out of nowhere a very tall women with bronze skin and blue hair came walking towards her.
"Who are you child?" The women asked.
