Chapter 5

Still The Same Night.

Victor's P.O.V

As our lips pulled apart, I sensed something bad was going to happen. Still seeing Arden in the far back with his fist clutched.

"IM SORRY" I said, pushing Serah away from me.

"What do you think you're doing with her?" Someone said behind me.

I turned around only to see Arden with his fist in the air and next thing you know, im on the ground.

"VICTORRRRRRR" Serah screamed.

"Whats wrong with you?!" Serah screamed at Arden.

"I should be the one asking you that. Why did you cheat on me?" 

"Am I meaningless to you? I'll punch you next!" Arden screamed.

"Go ahead! I don't even know why I dated you in the first place!" She screamed.

I can't even barely see. Everything was a blur to me...I could only hear...I stood up.

"Don't......Don't touch her..." I said slouching.

"Move out of the way pretty boy, or i'll just punch you again." Arden said.

"I'll do anything to protect Serah" I said.

"I'm done with you and your annoyance" Arden said, firing a punch right at me.

I closed my eyes. I'll protect you Serah, I promise. Wait...Why didn't I feel anything? I opened my eyes...Only to see Serah on the ground...

"SERAHHHH" I screamed at the top of my lungs.

"LOOK WHAT YOU DID?!" Arden said, punching me at the face.

"I....It's...all my fault...If only I never lied about liking Iris...This would have never happened" I said softly..

I started to cry...She took that punch for me...

"I hold a grudge on you now." I said to Arden giving him a death stare. 

"I thought you were her boyfriend?...SHOULDN'T YOU BE THE ONE PROTECTING HER!? SHOULDN'T YOU BE HER HERO?!" I screamed at him.

"SHE WAS THE ONE WHO CHEATED ON ME! ARE YOU SAYING THIS IS MY FAULT!? I LOVED HER! AND SHE JUST THREW ME AWAY!" Arden screamed back, his voice growing louder and louder as he spoke.

"Im done with her. She did the wrong choice of choosing you. You weren't even able to protect her." He said as he walked away.

"Serah..." I said to her, leaning next to her.

I carried her to my car. I drove her to my house.

Serah's P.O.V

I opened my eyes....

"Victor?" I said, smiling.

"Serah, i'm so glad your okay" He said smiling back.

"Serah...I'm sorry..But Arden broke up with you." He said.

"Its okay. It's not your fault" I said smiling.

"Thank you Victor." I also said.

"For what?" He said.

"For protecting me. Your my hero." 

As he grabbed my hand, I started to blush.

"Is this fine with you?" He asked giving me a wink.

"Of course!" I said, happily.

I felt so tired...So I decided to sleep. I slept on his lap. It was so comfortable. I felt like this whole thing was a dream.

The Next Day.

I woke up, but this time I wasn't on Victor's lap...I was on my bed at home. I have school today, so I got out of bed, brushed my teeth, changed my clothes, ate breakfast, got into the car, and now im at school.

*Ring Ring"

"Hey victor"  I said, waving at him. 

"Hi Serah." Victor said.

"Thanks a lot about yesterday. Oh and did you drive me home last night?" I asked.

"Haha...How did you know?" He said, smiling.

"It's pretty obvious, who else is there?" I said.

"Hey guys!" Iris said, running towards me.

"Hey Iris....Sorry about yesterday. Are we still friends?" Victor asked.

"Of course...Why wouldn't we be friends? What did you do yesterday?" Iris said having a confused look.

"You don't remember?" I asked.

"Yesterday...On our date....Remember?" Victor asked.

"AHAHAHAHHAHAHA. What date?! Thats today, silly." She said, happily.

"HUH!?!??!" Victor and I said at the same time.

What was Iris talking about?

"Did we dream about all that happening? Whats going on?!" I cried, looking at Victor.

*Ring Ring*

"Hey cutie" Someone said on the phone.

"Hello...Who is this?!" I screamed on the phone.

"It's me Arden! AHAHAHA. Silly little girl." He said.

"ARDEN!? YOUR NOT MAD AT ME!?" I asked.

"No...Why would I be mad at you?" He asked sounding very curious.

What is going on?...How come no one remembers anything about yesterday...Was it all a dream?! 

"Well....Don't you remember anythnig about you punching me and Victor? Don't you remember what happened yesterday?!" I asked.

"Whos...Victor? Why would I punch you? I wasn't even with you yesterday..." He said on the phone.

"Are you cheating on me with this VICTOR!?" He asked.

"No, no, no. Well i'm sorta busy...So see yah later." I said, hanging up the phone.

"Victor come here! I need to talk to you." I said pulling him away.

"Did we dream about everything that happened yesterday? The funny thing is we both got the same dream.." I said quietly.

"I guess soo...That means Iris doesn't know that I lied to her." Victor said.

"Well, I know!" I said smacking him in the head.

"OWWW" He screamed.

"Would you shut it!?" I said.

"To tell you the truth..Im planning on dumping Arden....After what happened in my dream..Im scared its going to happen in real life..Arden is that jealous type anyways..I'm starting to have new feelings for someone.." I said as i leaned closer to Victor.

*snap*

"Huh? Whos there?!" I screamed.

I...Hear crying sounds?! WAS THAT IRIS!?

"Iris?!" I screamed.

"Why...Why did you lie to me?!" Iris said, stepping out next to the tree.

"Did you hear everything I said?" I asked....feeling so guilty.

"I heard...EVERYTHING!" She screamed.

"I THOUGHT WE WERE FRIENDS! VICTOR AND SERAH! HOW COULD YOU LIE TO ME?!" She screamed running away.

"IRIS!" I screamed chasing after Iris, tear by tear falling off of my face.

"I'm sorry!" Victor screamed chasing after Iris too.
