How is she going to get out of here? She’s starting to fall even harder over and over again for the guy she’s supposed to kill. Athena can’t love him though. She can’t get hurt again. She needs to start rebuilding the walls to her heart all over again. Maybe she’s just afraid of trying again. Or is it that she’s afraid of getting broken for the same reason? Tyler had to ruin everything between them. Just thinking of him tugs at her heart. She was so in love with him. How could he go behind her back and cheat on her? A mixture of emotions overcome and she feels like sobbing yet at the same time anger engulfs her. She needs to either punch someone or find a pillow to cry into. Obviously she can’t just punch Jason in the face right now, and she can’t just make herself a nice pillow out of leaves. She bends over with her forehead pressed against her knees. She moves her bony arms around her abdomen and sucks in a deep breath to keep from sobbing. Jason turns toward her, awoken from his extended daydreaming.

“Athena, are you alright?” He asks concerned. She smiles slightly to herself. She finds it cute that he’s always worried about her. To be honest, she was worried today for him. He was acting really strange, almost as if he were a different person.

“I’m fine Jason. My ribs just hurt a little.” She feels his large hand on her back, rubbing up and down trying to soothe her. He begins tracing her prominent spine through her tank top. She closes her eyes and goose bumps overtake her body. She lets out a sigh of contentment. That feels amazing. She gets a longing sensation in the pit of her stomach. The same feeling she usually gets around Tyler.  Her eyes fly open immediately and she straightens her back.

“What’s wrong?” He looks worried and he looks as if she just pushed him away. She stares with sympathetic grey eyes. She can’t just forget about Jason. She does love him, but she can’t get hurt. The more she looks at him, the more the longing sensation grows. She lunges herself into Jason’s muscular arms.

“Don’t leave me. Ever.” The tears swell up in her eyes and threaten to spill.

“I’d never leave you Athena. I love you forever and always. You’re the one I want to spend the rest of my life with. And I want the next time I carry you, to be on our wedding night. I know you have a boyfriend right now, but I’ll wait until the end of the Earth to have you as mine.”  She stares at him incredulously. The longing sensation immerses and she finds herself nearing Jason’s lips. He eyes her lips and bites his lower lip seductively. Athena locks her lips onto his and feels the passion return to her. She starts using all the tricks she used on Tyler, on Jason. He wraps his arm around her softly. Her fingers entangle themselves in his short brown hair. The kiss intensifies and he suddenly pulls away from her. A feeling of rejection flows over her when he begins kissing her neck. Starting from her shoulder, over her collarbone, he leaves love bites making his way to her lips again. She closes her eyes and sighs. She gets a strange sensation in her lower stomach. It isn’t the longing sensation. It shakes her whole body to the core. The lust towards Jason consumes her. Does she want more than just his lips?

She smiles devilishly at him. Her grey eyes look like the night sky and it’s as if a strike of lightning zips through her. She attacks his face with her soft lips leaving trails of kisses onto his skin. He gets the usual aching deep down in the bottom of his stomach. Jason can’t control himself. He pulls her off of him and crashes his lips onto hers. He licks her bottom lip begging for entrance. She slowly opens her mouth, teasing him. He explores every inch of her small mouth with his tongue. Their tongues fight for dominance but his ultimately overpowers. While their kiss is steaming up, his hands haven’t left her waist. He wants to move his hands all over her but he knows he’ll only hurt her. Her hands find their usual spot behind his neck and begin entangling themselves in hair. She pulls softly and his body tingles all over, craving her body on his. He gets a strange stabbing feeling in his chest. He stops immediately and leans against the tree for balance. Jason envisions a little boy and girl about 13 years old. He sees them in the park, holding hands and laughing. They look so much in love. Now he sees an older boy about 17. He’s in his room throwing things around and crying. He looks toward the TV to see Athena and Jason kissing. It’s Tyler. His vision overrides and he sees Athena in front of him again. She’s shaking him and screaming. He thinks she’s asking him if he’s alright. He doesn’t hear her though. He only hears his loud heart beat as it gets progressively faster. Then it takes over him. Guilt.
