Aubrey had walked from Los Angelos to Stratford. It had taken her three weeks. Justin had been a public announcement about looking for her and many Beliebers came up to her on the street asking if she was Aubrey."No," she would shake her head with a sad smile and they would walk away.
She was surprised that they even recognized her with the yellowing bruise around her eye.
She walked up to a small house, begging it was the place, and rang the door bell.
A boy with a buzz cut opened the door.
"Aubrey?" he gapped at her. "What are you doing here? Justins been going crazy looking for you." He pulled out his phone.
"No, Ryan." She grabbed onto his phone. "Don't please. I can't see him right now."
He stuffed his phone into his pocket. "What's going on?"
"I don't know. I've been throwing up everywhere and my stomach is killing me."
"Wait, are you-"
"Pregnant? I wish I knew."
Ryan shook his head. "You need to talk to Justin."
"No!" she shrieked. "Please! Just let me stay here for a week and then I'll go back to him."
"Fine. But you should probably go and get that checked out when you see him next." He took her inside and showed her around. "You can crash in my room. I'll take the couch."
"Thanks," she sat on the bed.
"I've been trying to piece the pieces together and I think this is your first time in Canada. Am I right?" he asked with a grin.
Aubrey giggled. "What makes you say that?"
"People don't mispronounce their own country and you don't seem to know french. Do you?" He said the last part in french.
"Yes, I actually do." She said back to him in french.
"Where are you from any? New York? Atlanta? Or are you just a random Belieber that Justin was interested."
Aubrey had promised not to tell Ryan the truth about where she came from and wasn't about to get hurt again.
"Cleveland. I met Justin at a skate park with some friends and I wanted to know some of his tricks and he showed me and gave me tickets to a Believe concert, so I met him at his last concert and he told me to stay with him."
"But he said it was going to be a couple of days. You're not an alien are you?"
Her face turned red but she lied to him again by shaking her head.
Ryan stepped into the hall. He pulled out his iPhone and was hesitant about calling Justin and telling him that he found Aubrey, but he was really curious to know what that bruise was from.
He dialed the number, knowing he'd regret it.
"Hey," Justin picked up.
"What the hell did you do to Aubrey?"
"What are you talking about? Do you know where she is? Have you seen her?"
"She just left. Have you touched her?"
"Of course I have. That's what love is supposed to be."
"No, I meant hurt her. There's a bruise on her face. Right on her eye. Justin, dude, what did you do?"
Justin explained everything that happened, but he left out that he chained her up because she was going to leave him to find her parents.
"You're fucking messed up," Ryan hissed into the phone.
"I wasn't thinking about what I was doing!" Justin pleaded. "Do you know where she's going?"
"No." And with that, Ryan hung up on him.
"Shit." Justin banged his hand on the kitchen table. He had to find out where she was.
"Did you find out anything?" Scooter asked.
"No, but I think Ryan might be lying to protect her."
"Maybe he is." Scooter shrugged.
"But why? I love her and I don't know why she would want to run out on me like that."
"We found something," Za said. He showed a picture that some Beliebers had snapped of Aubrey. Her skin pale and there was a bruise on her eye. Justin remembered hitting her right there. He winced at the memory.
"Where?" He damanded.
"Stratford."
He picked up his eyes and ran out of the house determining to search every square inch of that place for her.
