my story is stories.
to me,
writing a story
is like chocolate
melting in your mouth.
so is reading a story.
stories are blankets
on snowy days, during stormy nights.
with them, i just feel at peace.
in the middle of the night,
when i need someone,
anyone,
books are there for me.
always.
words are comforting.
i am told that people are better than stories
but i'm not so sure.
people lie, people cheat, people gossip.
yes, maybe people in books do, too,
but they aren't real. it's not the same.
fantasy is an escape from reality.
heartbreak, drama, boredom, broken friendships.
the list of problems goes on and on.
but if people read more,
they would have less time
to fight,
to cry,
to yell,
to do nothing,
to argue.
books are the cure to pretty much every problem.
i have a huge imagination.
when i read,
when i write,
the scenes play in my mind like a movie.
it provides a sanctuary from the problems of the world.
words come alive in my mind.
reading and writing are my life.
they are what make me happy.
i feel light,
as if i could walk on air,
as if i could fly.
my story is stories.
