Third person's POV
Luke jumped into his car immediately when seeing Ashton's address. He was already out the door when he called Ashton "love". Luke put began driving down to Ashton's house, getting there in about less than 10 minutes. He turned his car off, and begins the walk towards the front door.
Luke knocked on the door and waited for someone to answer. A few seconds later, the door opened to reveal a disheveled Ashton with red eyes. His face had tear tracks on his cheeks, with tears still in his eyes, but it was obvious that he was trying to not let them fall. Upon seeing this, Luke's face drops.
"Oh Ashton," he says, "C'mere." He opens his arms for Ashton, who gladly accepts the hug. He goes into Luke's arms and begins crying once again in Luke's chest. Luke rubs Ashton back and holds him tightly. "Let's go inside and talk. You don't have to tell me anything if you don't want to, but I don't think we should stand outside." Luke says quietly kissing the top of Ashton's head. Ashton nods into Luke's chest before pulling back and walking inside. Luke follows behind him, closing the front door as he passes it. He follows Ashton into the living room and takes a seat on the couch next to Ashton.
"So," Luke began, "Are you ok?"
Ashton is silent and that gives Luke his answer. Luke wraps his arm around Ashton's shoulder, comforting him.
"I miss her.." Ashton mumbles quietly against Luke's shoulder. "What happened?" Luke asked quietly.
"S-she got into a terrible car accident, and she was the O-only one w-who d-didn't make I-it. Everyone else w-was p-perfectly fine w-with only a f-few scratches, while S-she d-died." Ashton explained.
Ashton began to break down at the end, at the thought of his mother being the only one who didn't survive. How she was the one who passed away while everyone else lived. And that's what hurt him the most.
"Oh ash, im so sorry," Luke said pulling Ashton in for another hug, "I know what it's like to lose someone you love. To lose a mum. I know it's hard. But I promise you, that you will not be alone. I'm always here for you. Always."
"W-what do Y-you mean you K-know what it's l-like to lose a m-mum?" Ashton questioned Luke timidly, not wanting to press it if it might trigger something that would upset Luke.
"She died when I was a young kid.." Luke said quietly.
"How?"
Luke sighed before answering, "She, um, had cancer and was battling it for a long time, but she ended up losing her battle. I was the last one to see her, before she um.." he paused, "passed." Luke finished.
"Oh.."
"It's ok. But the point is," Luke stopped and grabbed Ashton by the shoulders to make him look at him in the eyes, "I know what you're going through. And, yea it hurts, it hurts like hell. And you'll think you're all alone. But you're not. You're not ok?"
Ashton nodded, "Ok."
Luke continued, "So just know, that if you ever feel like that you're alone, please call me. I'll come right over. You're not alone at a time like this. When you lose someone, as close to you as a mum, I promise you, you. Will. Never. Be. Alone."
Ashton had tears in his eyes but this time they were happy tears this time. He nodded and hugged Luke tightly. Luke returned the hug, hugging him just as tight.
"Luke?"
"Yea ash?"
Ashton pulled away from the hug a little bit, just enough so that he can see Luke's face,"Why are you saying that you'll be there for me no matter what? I mean, we only know each other as the person Michael gave the wrong number too. So why?"
Luke smiled slightly, and kissed Ashton temple.
"Because I love you Ashton."
