brooklyn's pov
okay, school. so basically i've finished middle school, i'm just starting high school.
i'm 14 years of age.
my best friend's name is mia. she's my only best friend, because let's just say she's been there before my dad left. which was a long time ago.
mia is one hour younger then me so yas. she is the opposite of me most of the time, but that's what's so great about us. we can never get sick of trying new things because, she's by my side all the time. and i can never ask for more.
her parents are a lot like my own. they care for me when my mom is busy with her work shifts. i know right, me and mia are girl meets world goals.
but here's when the down side kicks in.
mia's dad has come down with cancer. and for order to get his treatment, they have to fly out to ohio for eight months. it takes time for the medication to actually work.
but we still have our charms, that will always protect the other when their in trouble.
i made her dad a massive letter about how much i wish him luck.
hopefully he makes it.
