The Explaination

Chapter 3

POV: Mason

"You should sit down, this is going to take a while." I say while stretching out my legs and putting them over Darcy's knees.

"Ahem, I am a person not a foot stool." She says while pushing my legs off of her legs with a thud.

"Alrighty then!" I exclaim.

As the twins sit down and get comfortable, I will the air to levitate the Hunters Hand Book from my bedroom over to my side of the couch. I see the twins face show a look of awe.

"That trick never gets old." Darcy lets out a sigh while I start cracking up with laughter.

"Dude, stop messing around we have to get this over and done with." My BFF says this with a hint of annoyance in her voice.

"Well, as we said earlier we are Hunters. Our reason for existence is to protect pack werewolves from rogues, vampires and humans. " I say this with boredom we have said this explaination so many times to so many of our other apprentices. They all died so young, but only out of there own stupidity those were simple werewolves though. These two were different they seemed as powerful as us, they may be the finals.

"So we're protectors? Peacekeepers?" Clara asks this with her twin nodding her head violently.

" No we're warriors, killers, gods we are the most powerful things on this earth. But the most important part of who we are is that we are forgotten, invisible. Until now." Darcy says this with a serious face.

"How do we change this situation?" Cara asks, staring at us with a slight look of awe.

"Your going to help us finally stop these wars, we are finally going to stop all this and breath for once instead of running. We are going to finally face the shadows." I say with a tone of certainty

"And how are we going to do this?" Clara asks with triumph on her face.

"We don't know. We never thought you wouldn't arrive so we just never thought we would get this fair. But it involves you and your powers." I say this with Darcy staring at the twins, I know her well enough to know when she is reading someone's mind.

"Powers?"

"Yeah like Darc here can read minds and has hypnotism and control over guys she also controls the Mist which is a blanket of magic that covers us whenever we use our powers as so not to let our identity be known. And I can control the elements." I explain.

"Okay.......... um do we have powers?"

" We don't know yet but if you do you can stay and if you don't and you were just a waste of time then, well you don't want to know." a heavy silence falls.

"Well that went well why don't you two go to bed, we have school tomorrow." Darc says this while rubbing her eyes.

" Wait so even though we are all powerful, we still have to go to school?" A groan is heard from them. Once I have gone and gotten them a drink and they have returned to their rooms we have had prepared for them since we came to Lightwood. I walk into my room to see Darcy already in bed through our rooms adjoining door. I take of my club clothes and get into an old Disneyland top and baby blue booth shorts. As soon as my head hits the pillow I am out like a light.

I wake up to someone opening the blinds sunlight pouring in.

"Get up we have a test today." an annoying voice informs me.

"It's too early. And we won't be having a test if someone accidentally hyponotises the teacher and makes him forget we had a test.

I roll myself out of the bed and strip of my pajamas and get out a new pair of underwear. I walk into my wardrobe and decide to wear a pair of black stilettos with a silver heel. I match this with a leather skater skirt and a long three quarter sleeved black collared shirt. I walk into my bathroom and style my red hair into a bow. thinking I look adorable enough I grab my backpack and walk into the kitchen.

"Why do you look so nice?" Darcy says while making breakfast and fixing her ombré brown neatly curled locks.

"Well today I am finally going to show Hunter who his mate is. I'm getting sick of watching Fiona throw herself all over my mate and him falling for it. at the start it was funny at first but now it's making me mad. And why are you dressed so nicely may I ask?" I say in referral to her perfect make up green high waisted shorts and black long sleeved crop top, she's also wearing black docs and a necklace saying reckless.

"Well I woke up this morning and decided that Amber needs to learn a lesson and the best way to do that is show her boyfriend who his real mate is. River is finally going to pay for pushing us around." Darcy says this with a mischievous smile on her face.

"Should we wake up the twins?"

"They are already awake they're just in my room getting some clothes." As soon as Darcy says this the twins walk out in a pair of denim shorts and matching pink and matching blue tops. both wearing black converses.

"Okay let's go! big day of school ahead." I say smiling and waking out the door being followed by Darcy and the twins. Once I locked the door we walk down to get into our green jeep. After we are all buckled into the car I start the engine and drive the short trip to school. we arrive and get out, all eyes on us as Darcy and I make contact we let our full powerful werewolf scent lose. Everyone have looks of awe.

"This is going to be the best day EVER!" Darcy exclaims.

Oh yes it is my friend, yes it is!
