Chapter 2

Norman’s pov@

I made it to work with little event, talked to the boss, did some dishes, swept the floors and fed the birds and that was right before I got the call that changed my life forever.

You’d think the suspense in my life would end after the whole zombie, witch craft thing with my ancestor Aggie who thought it was okay to curse the whole town because of others ignorance.

But that was just the beginning of my manifest supernatural life. The creatures got weirder and the missions more dangerous.

I’d grew quite a bit of flexibility as I went along. Over the year’s I’d lost more weight and picked up speed and intelligence, not that I wasn't intelligent already. It’s just that I’d learned more about supernatural creatures and how they came to exist.

My phone was my life in a way and I needed it no matter what I did and i’m grateful for that, but when I got a call from my mom saying there were WEREWOLVES standing outside our house I wished I’d never seen a phone a day in my life.

And then she acted as if I wasn't at work, like I was on some four month vacation to visit Jamaica or some crap. Cause you know, shabba!

I was in the middle of folding clothes and cleaning the house. I worked in a freakin grave yard and I was lucky this man was nice enough to let me sit in his house instead of my office across the yard. But you know, since he was dead the house became mine out of his generosity.

My office wasn't the best place to be…

It was freezing in there, and it was damn near below zero outside. Not only did this house have heating but it also had food (which I stocked) and drinks. (Which I paid for.)

I was in the middle of cleaning the master bathroom and making the bed in my (second) room when I felt my phone buzz in my pocket.  I knew that it could be anyone that I’d ever met, ever.

It was like, ever since I saved these hick town people from every magical creature that could find its way into town, I’ve become the number one person to call when there’s danger. Even police officers alerted me when something out of the ordinary happened.

I dug around in my pocket and looked down at my buzzing phone that started to tweet frantically as I check out my caller I.d. it was my mom. I picked up the phone and answered the call, but braced myself for bad news.

“Hello?” I said as I answered my mom’s call, I knew she had something supernatural going on by the way she answered.

My mom sucked her teeth before she responded.

“Norman… We have a problem.” She whispered to me from her end.

“I knew it!!!” I thought to myself as my mom continued to talk.

“I know you’re tired, but we need you to help us. They said they need you… and they won’t leave without you.” I knew this was a serious matter, my mom was afraid.

"who needs me, mom." I sighed as I waited for a response, but my blood ran cold when I heard it.

"The werewolves, Norman. there are werewolves after you."

The same strong, beautiful, bull-headed women who raised me was trembling in her boots at the thought of werewolves getting in.

“I’ll be there as soon as I can.” I said, ending the call as grabbing the keys to my car.

Yes I have a car, I just wasn't a frequent driver, so I left it at ‘my’ house near my job. I worked way too hard to have nothing at all.

I drove to my house and slowly pulled up to see a gang of muscular men standing outside. The guys were young and looked around my age, they all watched me pull up at the same time.
