Letter of Love Spell

Sure this one might seem to be lacking in "traditional" magickal ingredients like herbs or crystals, but the symbolism is just as powerful. This spell should be performed on a Friday night.

You will need:

1 sheet of blank paper

1 red marker

1 envelope

Favourite perfume

Favourite red lipstick

5 or 6 fresh red rose petals

Use the red marker to write down the qualities you are looking for in a new love, being specific and realistic. Do not use names! Give the paper a spray or dab of your perfume, then fold it into the envelope.

Hold the rose petals in your hand, and picture yourself with your ideal mate. Let yourself feel how happy you would be. Put the petals into the envelope with the paper, and seal the envelope. With a little lipstick on your lips, plant a big kiss on the outside of the envelope.

Keep the envelope in a safe spot, and do not open it. Once you've found your new lover, you can simply throw it away or burn it. Just don't open it.

The knot of love

Knot spells usually don't have that many supplies and are fairly easy spells to perform. Your intent is bound up in the knots as you say the spell.

You will need:

• A length of red ribbon at least 24 inches long

• Patchouli oil

• Ylang ylang oil

Put one or two drops of each oil into your palms, and rub them together. Run your fingers along the length of the ribbon to anoint it with oil. You're going to tie 3 knots in the ribbon, so try to space them out evenly along the length. Say each line of the spell as you tie each of the three knots: With knot of one, my love will come With knot of two, it shall be true With knot of three, so mote it be

Loop the knotted ribbon around a bed post, bedside lamp or the doorknob to your bedroom. Don't tie it though, you don't want any extra knots in there.

Glitter of the glamorous

Most glamour spells are intended to make you more attractive.

You will need:

Silver glitter (yes really)

Rose oil

Primrose oil

Mix the two oils together in a little dish or saucer. Add a little silver glitter. Dip your index fingertip into the mix and draw a big heart on your stomach. Draw a circle inside the heart. There should be enough glitter in the oil that you can see the shapes.

Visualize positive and attractive energy coming from the image and covering your entire body. Leave the oil in place for the day (wear something comfortable over the image but not too delicate, the oil may stain). At the end of the day, take a bath to wash it away. The first day is the most powerful, but the effects can last up to 3 days after.
