The Meaning of Life

If you had a single wish, without any rules, what would that be? Infinite power? Wealth? Partners? Well... most people will say something that will help them get to their own version of the meaning of life. Someone who wants to gain wealth will ask for for a quickest gain of capital, without thinking of how that will effect the economy. Someone who wants to control others are really the weakest mentally who need something to stand on, and they expect that obtaining unlimited power that others will envy and eventually overthrow them over would help them. Those who wish to acquire multiple partners will find out that they will become emotionally distant from anyone and everyone.
   So, here is what I have discovered; everyone who has a meaning of life will meet with a terrible outcome. Even people who say there is none find that they have no motivation for anything. People who believe that it's your own to choose are only condoning all the acts that follow.
I am not telling you to not dream, but while you create dreams, your dreams shape your life. So, my own version of the meaning of life is your dreams; your goals make your life. It doesn't matter if you succeed at them, mind you, you learn more from failure, but you can't get anywhere if you plan to sit somewhere, alone.
   For example, I have dreamed small, but meaningful. I have dreamed of helping those that I can see suffer, and I have dreamed of exploring what I mentally don't know (sadly, "the more I know, the more I realize I don't know" one of my favorite quotes). These dreams have led me down a path in my life where I have both gained empathy of the people around me, but also learned respect in myself (maybe even a little healthy narcissism).
   The man creates the words, but the past words created the man. This is true with dreams and life as well. Your life makes you create dreams like it, while dreams help shape your future life. Because of this, life changes. More specifically, life's meaning changes. Another meaning of life, you could say, its to pass time so you can create a new meaning of life, whatever that may be.
