These are just a few things that are in Ella's mind.
I'm Ella and I suffer from anxiety. As a kid, there were two words that I was not allowed to say. "What if". I have a "perfect" life. Blond hair, blue eyes, curly hair, cheerleader, straight A's. Ya... a pretty good life... Except for one thing Monday after school. A Counselor. "Sue".
Monday: *MEEP, MEEP, BEEP, BEEP, MEEP, BEEP, MMMMMEEEEEEEPPPPPPPPPPPP SLAP!!* I wake up at 4 A.M. and I take a shower, do my hair, I re-color my hair and put in my contacts. I curl my hair for the 3rd time this morning. I spray if for the 2nd time with hair spray... Lots of it. I pack my cheerleading outfit and pom poms. We have an "intense" practice today... At least that's what coach Lea says. It's now... 6:15. Right, now to make some breakfast. I look in the fridge... I grab two eggs and some basil. I make the eggs (Fried) and take a picture. Perfect! I put them on Pinterest. I eat them and look at the clock. 6:30 great. I have time to whiten my teeth and perfect my hair. It's now 7:00 and I ask Leo to give me a ride to school. As per usual, he says "Anything or you madam, What time should I pick you up today?" "I have cheerleading today so... 4:00" "Of course, anything for you"
It's the first day of school after spring break so it is chilly. Like 60 degrees. So I tell Leo to warm up the car. As per usual, I am ready to go just on time. I hop in the car as we wiz by the other cars.
I'm not royalty but if you go downtown and ask anyone they know who I am.
*3:20 p.m.* I get back into the limo and invite Lily into. She of course accepts. We wiz smoothly to the football field's artificial turf.
Lea says abruptly that we need to put on our shoes and start running around the track and we need to keep track of the laps we do. So I lace up my white tennis shoes and put my hair in a high ponytail with a bow. Then I start running.
