Dear Heartbreaker,

After our breakup, my life was never the same. I saw men differently. I saw beauty as a trap of betrayal.

I guess I was naïve. I believed in everything you told me. I believed that someone wanted me for the first time in my life. I believed that there was something special about you. I spoiled you, giving you my all because I thought you deserved it. On your birthday, I bought you your favorite drink, coca-cola. I made you a card that took me hours to create; writing down everything I liked about you and showing you how much I cared for you. I went to a store to ask them to create a personalized mug that read the catch phrase of the name of your city. I wasn't rich but I wanted to make that day special for you even if it meant spending it all.

From flowers, to gifts, to drinks, to love. I know I did my part.

Love,
Broken-hearted girl...

Clarity by A. C.

It was broad daylight
Although your height blocked my sight
Protecting me from the light
Then came the night

My heart carried the sincere goodbye
Yours had something to clarify
I could now see it in your blue eyes
I must've been stone deaf for not hearing your cries

Blind for not noticing your shedded tears
Nevertheless we made many souvenirs

Who would've thought we would end after thinking we could last years?
