DAMIEN

"I just don't like it when people fuck with what's mine"  I explain to her 

She stiffens at my actions, but composes herself.  I get back up to my normal height and stare back at her grey dull eyes. No emotion appears in her soft face, none whatsoever.

I expected a shocked expression, a giggle maybe even a blush, but nothing, I got nothing.

I honestly do not know how to take that, I've never been in this type of situation before, in one where a girls is not ecstatic at my attraction towards them. I mean what the fuck?

"Damien darling, you're here!" I hear my mothers voice entering the dining room

I give Max one last look and walk to the direction of my mother to greet her. I give her a kiss on the cheek and she grabs my face kissing me on mine. "How are you doing Mother?"

"Much better now that you're here, I thought I wouldn't see you till next Saturdays dinner" she smiles at me

"I was going to help dad on some things in his office, Mother I agreed on helping him with the company but Bentsen needs to do his job right the first time. He's suppose to be his right hand man, he is the vice president of the company, and has no reason to make common sense errors." I tell her.

she sighs and shakes her head "Honey Bentsen is a good man, everyone makes mistakes dear, we shouldn't continue to judge them for them."

I roll my eyes "Mother the company almost lost a quarter of a million dollars by him trying to partner with an unknown source that supposedly promised its coffee beans were straight from Columbia, but when I tried to search for any information about them nothing came out. AT ALL!" I try to make her understand "It doesn't only affect us mother if we had actually lost that much money, what about our employees, they would be without a paycheck if the money would of been used buying something that didn't even exist in the first place"

She sighs, "ok, ok your right. I will talk to him to maybe remove Bentsen from his potion if he keeps making these types of mistakes"

I nod in agreement and she smiles, holding my cheek with the palm of her hand, giving me a gentle tap. She looks behind me and sees Max and Jasmine talking. Jasmine had gotten here from the kitchen when I was talking with my mother.

"Are those bread sticks I see?" she asks them pointing to the food on the kitchen table, her light brown eyes that I inherited from twinkled in happiness. "May I?" she politely asks as she picks up a bread stick taking a small bite.

"Sure mom" Minnie replies smiling to her

"Max dear I came down to ask you something" Mother says looking at Max with a grin

"um ok" she says looking at her curiously. I am too, I've never seen my mother interact with any of Jasmines friends. She calls them brats and superficial.

"Well, next Saturday ill be hosting a family dinner, witch also consists of very close friends as well, but anyway, I would love for you to come and join us?"

Max furrows her eyebrows, thinking of what to tell my mother

"Only if you would like to dear, I wont be upset if you say no,"

"I really don't think family dinners are my scene, I wouldn't want to impose" she comments

"You wouldn't Max, trust me" I butt in, she turns her attention to me and I give her a little side smile "It'd be a treat if you did" she narrows her eyebrows at me but still passes on my mothers offer

"Come on Max do come, it'll be fun with you here, please, please, please!!" Minnie begs pouting and giving her the puppy eyes

She stares at Jasmine and lets out a small sigh, "sure" she turns to my mom "I'll come, thank you"  really? she said yes to Minnie but no to me!

Jasmine squeals giving Max a big hug, My mom smiles and claps her hands "Great! My Minnie will tell you the details, thank you for accepting dear" she says and waves us goodbye heading to the main stairs.

"well I'm heading out too, Minnie tell father ill be in his office if he needs me" I inform her already walking out of the kitchen.

"ok!" she screams out

"Max stop eating all the pizza, I want some too!" I hear Jasmine shout

I shake my head and smile to myself. That girl really is something.
