I always knew I'd end up here. "Here" being New York. Even when I was a little girl, dancing around my parents' living room and holding a hairbrush while belting lyrics to Time Warp and Footloose, I knew I wanted to perform. I grew up watching musicals like Little Shop of Horrors, Evita and Newsies. Rather than attend the high school of technology that all my friends attended, I instead chose to attend an academy for performing arts. I was so set on it that I invested every bit of money I earned into moving to New York. I rented out an apartment in Brooklyn, about 30 minutes from New York City. I'm finally on my way to achieving my Broadway dreams, and I won't let anything, or anybody, get in the way of that.
