Chapter 23

Finally a update!!!

"LEO!!!" I screamed. I ran to him. Blood was everywhere. I didn't even want to describe where. I turned around and glared at Tiger Claw. My FATHER. Who almost KILLED the boy that cares about me most. 

"YOU!!!! YOU ALMOST KILLED HIM!!!!! And for that....I'LL KILL YOU!!!!" I then lunged at him, but he just smacked me. 

"Foolish child. You are so naive. When will you understand that YOU are my daughter and as YOU Wexillia Arakaki are on OUR side!"

I growled. "That is where YOU are wrong." I then stood up weakly and pointed to the people. "THEY are MY family." And I pointed to Leo. "HE is MY family." Then, I pointed to him. "YOU will NEVER be MY family!"

He growled at me and was about to charge at me again, when I saw a flash of orange and was surrounded by purple smoke. Then, I was outside carried by Raph.

"Wait! Where's-"

"Right there." He responded.

I looked behind me to see a paleish green, blue masked turtle being held by Donnie and Mikey.

"Leo..." I murmured before blacking out.

I awoke to find myself once again in Donnie's lab. I raised my hand to my forhead.

"What happened?" I murmured. I then remembered what had happened  and froze. Leo.

"Leo!" Where is he? "LEO!!!"

"Wex! Wex!! It's ok!" I was suddenly put into an embrace.

I then realized it was April. Not Leo. A few tears started to trickle down my face, then ot turned to a sob. "Where is he...?" I murmured.

"He's ok, Wex."

"WHERE IS HE?!!!" I sobbed harder. "I need to see him, April. I need to see if he's really ok...."

I winced at the pain I was feeling, but I didn't care. The pain in my heart was unbearable and more painful.

She then looked up. Assuming it was Donnie who had entered the room, I turned my head away. Until...

"You don't have to be strong all the time, you know."

I turned to see Leo, covered in bandages, and looked a little weak, but other than that he was ok.

I stood up immediately and ran/limped to him, giving him a bear hug as tight as possible.

April excused herself from the room, giving me a wink.

After regaining my balance by leaning on him, I managed to say "H-how?"

"Nick. She put some sort of healing spell on me." He responded.

A tear that trickled down my face, he wiped away and said "I told you I would protect you."

I smiled, but then shoved him lightly. "Yeah, but that was too close."

"I know."

"I'm serious."

Hearing the seriousness in my voice, he stayed quiet. Shaking, I finally asked the question that was on my mind.

"Why did you do that?"

"What do you me-?"

"You could have DIED!"

"I don't care..."

"I do!!" I probably looked like a mess right now, but I don't care. "I care..."

"I know you do. That's why I did it. If something happens to you-"

"Who cares if something happens to me?!"

"I care!!! Why else would you think I risked my life!!"

"Yeah! But, every time you risk your life it's because of ME!! Don't you get it!! I'M the one putting you guys in danger!! I'M the one with the mistakes!!"

"YOU are not the only one making mistakes! I make mistakes too!"

"Oh, yeah! Like what?! Meeting me!!"

"No!!! Letting you go!!!"

There was a errie silence between the both of us. The only noise was the both of us breathing in and out from all the pain we felt.

He then placed his hand on my face, rubbing his thumb undery chin, he murmured. "I lost you once already. I didn't want to lose you again."

Now, this sort of sounded familiar. I then murmured back.

"Well, don't forget, I almost lost you too."

He looked at me and smiled.

I smiled back. "There is our leader."

At that moment, I knew I had fallen in love with him.

He then grabbed me by the waist, pulling me towards him and kissed me. It wasn't those "quick kisses". Nope. It was one of those "don't let go of me" one.

I didn't want to let go, either. So, I kissed him back.

I had no clue what time it was, didn't care either. I knew it was late.

When we finally pulled away, gasping for air, I smiled and then blushed a deep pink.

He was blushing as well and was just staring into my eyes.

I stared back into his deep blue ones and just kept smiling.

This boy just risked his life to save mine. This boy truly knew me for me. And.....I'm pretty sure I loved him.

Alright, I'm just gonna finish up this book, because it'll just bother me of I don't and I REALLY need to!!!
