It was warm and silent, just the way we both liked it. It was a break from our normally hectic lives, a time to sit and reflect and enjoy each other's company. No loud bangs of cannons or the shrieking of metal clashing against metal. It was just us together. I traced another line over his spark chamber, catching myself on the small gash in the metal, a small frown on my face at the sight of the scar. I continued to stroke small symbols on his frame, knowing it calmed him down considerably. I glanced up from my prone position to look at his face plates, and smiled softly as I observed his optics offlined, mouth plating curved up in a slight smirk of pleasure. I admired those face plates some more; there was no denying that I had a crush on this large bot, even though we hadn't started on the best of terms. Memories flooded back to me, and my upturned mouth turned to a deeper frown at the sight of the one scar I hated most. Getting up, I delicately picked my way over till I was standing by his faceplates, running a hand gently down the deep gash that made its way over his right optic. He stirred at the action, and those beautiful green optics onlined, gazing at me with worry when he spotted my concerned expression. "____, what's wrong?" His voice was soft and layered with the heavy tones of recharge. My eyes shifted from the scar to his green orbs, "Why didn't you get this repaired? Why did you let it scar?" My tone was borderline angry, and he cast his gaze downward as if in shame, "Because it reminds me of how we met, and of my oath that I will never hurt you, always keep you close." I wasn't expecting this answer, and I stood their dumbfounded for a moment, before I was washed away into the past.
I had no idea how I had gotten on to this ship, but all I knew was that I had to get off, and quick. I wandered the hallways, making sure to keep as quiet as possible, until I came out on a ledge, and spotted a helicopter on a makeshift landing pad, accompanied by a group of people. Relief filled my mind and I jumped out of my spot of hiding, waving my arms and shouting. All eyes turned to me, and it was in that moment that I realized I had made a terrible mistake. "How about that one?" The lead man pointed in my direction, and I looked around in panic to see who he was talking to. Suddenly I spotted it, and I marveled at how I missed seeing it the first time. It was huge, at least thirty feet tall, with dark grey armor, and bright green...eyes? I didn't quite care about all the details however, as the figure approached with ominous footsteps. I backed up until my feet hit something protruding from the ground, and I toppled over, still scrambling, my heart pounding in fear. From the ledge, I was in line with its face, and from behind him, I spotted the helicopter getting ready to take off. Despair sunk into my frame, and my gaze was whipped back to the massive robot looking thing as it spoke in a rumbling voice. "Yes, you will make a fine trophy." Anger seared through me, replacing all other emotions. 'If I'm going out, I'm going out fighting'. I searched rapidly for a weapon of sorts as the robot drew closer. I gripped the piece of metal I had tripped over and tugged hard, attempting to pry it loose. After the fifth, the metal gave away with a shrieking noise, and I had myself a dagger sized weapon. By now, the robot was at the edge of the overhang, peering at me with those neon green eyes. I braced myself as it reached a massive hand towards me. My heart pounded, 'Now or never' I dodged the hand, and raced towards the face at full speed. Just as I hit the edge of the cliff, I jumped, makeshift dagger at the ready. As soon as I came within range, I lashed out, dagger digging into the forehead of the robot, and my weight dragged it down, creating a deep gash that ran over its right eye. The thing roared, and picked me up, flicking the piece of metal out of its face. It held me closer, glaring, until unexpectedly, it began to laugh, looking at me in amusement despite the fluid leaking out of its face. "I think you and I will get along just fine..."
His voice shook me back to the present, and I smiled at the now fond memory. His expression mirrored mine, and I marveled at how far we had come from when we first encountered each other. I then looked down sheepishly, "Sorry for ruining that handsome face of yours-" I panicked and clamped a hand over my mouth in horror that I had actually said that. I glanced up as if hoping he hadn't heard that, but his triumphant smirk proved me otherwise. I groaned, glaring at my feet, "So," he spoke in a teasing tone, "you think I'm attractive?" I put a hand on my hip, pointing at his faceplates, "Listen here you, so what if I think you're attractive? It isn't like that matters, you are a giant robot, and I am a human, end of discussion." He looked slightly hurt at that statement, and I felt slightly bad about saying that. He picked me up and sat me down beside him so he could sit up. He looked down at me, "What if I told you I could fix that?" I was taken aback by that; it was impossible for him to become human, or me a giant robot...right? He saw my expression and smirked, before he disappeared, leaving me gapping at the empty space, "L-Lockdown?" I called out, worry eating at me like a scraplet eats metal. "You called?" A familiar, and surprisingly...human, voice spoke from behind me. I whirled around to see a man in his early twenties, with messy black hair and surprisingly bright green eyes...with a light scar running over his right eye. I blushed; whoever he was, he was really attractive. "____." He said my name again, and I swore I knew that voice. Wait..."Lockdown?" I breathed, and he nodded, that all too familiar smirk presenting itself on his face. I rushed towards him, and crushed him in a hug, "How?!" I demanded, pressing my face against his chest. "Ever since I had met you, I have been working on this technology, and yesterday I perfected it. It gives me the ability to use a holoform." He looked slightly nervous, "D-Do you like it?" I laughed at his adorable expression, "Lockdown, I-I love you-it! I-I, I love it..." I caught myself, but he was already looking down at me in awe. I looked away, or at least tried, before he hooked a finger under my chin, bringing my face up to look him in the eye, "____, I love you, more than anything in the whole universe." My breath caught in my throat as he slowly, unsurely began to lean down, coming closer to me. I smiled in happiness, and surged up, capturing his lips against mine, hands coming up to tangle in his hair, while his own hands wrapped around my waist, bringing me closer to him. We parted, and he smirked at my flushed face, making me blush even more. I pressed another kiss to his lips, one he gladly returned. It was then I realized, it didn't matter it he was a giant robot, or that I was human, all that mattered was the love we had within each other.
