An Innocent Child

A looong time uploaded something, so sorry for the delay. A little poem dedicated to all the teeny weeny little chidren all across the world, for whom the world is nothing but a wish-granting factory. They  enjoy it, every single moment like it's made for them, unaware of the worldly challanges that await them. The life they live is the best of all, no tensions, no worries. Someone has rightly said childhood as the ' Golgen Age' !

 An Innocent Child

A tiny, little, innocent child,

A bud, immature and sweet,

Hair plaited back in braids,

Dainty shoes on delicate feet.

Eyes sparkling with liveliness,

A smile set back on her face.

Sitting eagerly on the swing,

Unaware of the worldly race.

"Up, up, up!" she shrieks,

Giggles and laughs and beams,

As her feet lift from the ground,

Delightedly, joyfully screams.

Back and forth, Back and forth,

She soars through the sky.

Back and forth, back and forth,

Calls out to the birds that fly.

Up and down in the air,

Up and down she plays.

With the ups and downs of life though,

Still oblivious she stays.
