I stand up from my desk as the teacher calls my name to present my essay on what I did this summer. I reach the front and look out to my class mates and put on a smile. It is what my mom would want me to do.
I read:
* the phone rings
"Hello?"
"Hi, sweetie. How was preview day of the high school?"My mom asks through the phone.
"It was amazing mom. The school was huge. Its everything you said it was. I can not wait until next month."
"Good im glad! I miss you so much sweety. Im on my way home right now. Sorry, i couldn't be there for you after school." My mom,says upset with herself.
"Mom, its ok honestly. Grandma needed you there thease last couple of days. Just hurry home." I say with excitment.
"I will, I am on the I90 now see you soon love you " my mom says as she hangs up the phone.
Love you too. I say yawning after she hung up.
Afterwards, I head to the living room to say good night to my dad. When I walked into the living room, I think I felt my heart stop.
"A bomb has gone off on the I90 a few moments ago. It has taken thosands of peoples lifes. The suspects are......" The News echo's in my ears.
When I finally gain a grasp of reality, I run straight back to the house phone and call my mom.

"Nooooo"I screamed and fell to the ground on my knees. "Please, God let my mom be ok" I screamed at the celing.
As I am screaming my dad rushes in hugging me crying and saying " its gonna be ok Addie. Its gotta be. Your moms a fighter."
Which brings me to the funeral.
"I had to read a paper I wrote to everyone to make them feel better. Which by the way sucked so bad to have to read when I was hurting more then all of them. This is my speech"
"I would first like to start off, by saying thank you to all who could join me and my mom today. My mom use to tell me that life was short and to make what you can of it. She spent every day like it was her last. If anyone ever needed her she would drop what she was doing and be there. I was lucky in a way. This amazing person was my mom. She would read me her diary from when she was in highschool, each page was like a short storie. This was my favorite part of the day, being with her. When I saw the news my heart broke. I knew what you all are thinking. She was too young, poor girl, and I wish I had more time with her. Thing is she did die, so its better to know that she loved everyone to the fullest of her ability and she lived a good life. She may be dead, but it does not mean she is not here for you when you need her. She is in your heart always. Hold on to the things she has taught you, because with that, she lives in each of you. Thank you."
