Lonesome

With silence, the wind finally had broke.

I sat at a river, wilting flowers in my hair

I didn't say anything to you but once you looked away, i glared

I was a lonely girl living in a cold world while I wore a summer dress and no shoes

Oh, how I missed you so as I felt the sunlight grace itself onto my face,

temporarily filled with warmth instead of my usual bitterness

I changed myself for you.

Your soul was white and mine was black

You said you liked white souls so I had tried to change that

I bleached my soul and damaged it

Once I was that, you told me you liked colorful souls

And god knows I couldn't find any color, I was filled with balance, there was no in between. I sat, awake.

I gave myself to you and you just threw it away, making me weak. I grieved and soon realized,

You would never do the same for me.
