I woke up that morning to one of the littler girls name May shaking me awake

" Katie Katie a man is coming to adopt today you have to get ready"

I shake my head "May honey you have to under stand that people who come here normally want little kids like you not people like me who are almost adults"

she looked at me as if she was about to cry

" ok fine I'll get ready just please don't cry" her frown quickly turned into a smile as she hopped off my bed and ran out the door. I remove the covers from me and get up I stretch to both sides before walking over to my to my dresser to get ready. I slip out of my pajamas and put some shorts on and a blue Hollister shirt I brush my light brown straight hair before I put on flip flops and walk out of the door. I walk out of my door and walk over to miss Anne

" good morning miss Anne" she gave me a warm smile before replying

" good morning to you too Katie" she grabs my hand and brings me to a room. no one else is there this is how normal adoptions here work your put into a separate room to talk to the people or person who wants to adopt you. Normally I would be nervous but I'm not I've done this 22 about to be 23 times and every time I've been denied it's not that they didn't want me it's just they wanted younger kids.
