And I know the incident happened a couple of months ago but i had a writer's block

Working at a hospital as a nurse is interesting!!! You get to see everything! Every injury is unique and not all doctors can see that because they have their departments! But you get to be in every single one of them!☺️ Some people may think that being a nurse it's not that big of a deal but you know that they are wrong!
You had the night shift! It's tiring but hey the most interesting things happen at these hours! You were watching the highlights of the Montreal Canadiens vs Dallas Stars game with your colleagues but you forgot one detail! As you were trying to remember,you hear camera flashes and voices! On top of that you see a hockey player in a lot of pain holding his hand! I'll handle it! You say to your colleagues and rush over to the hurt hockey player! Excuse me!! People!! Mr.Gallagher is not in possession of answering questions about his injury right now! I'm asking all of you nicely to leave!
After finding an empty bed in the ER
What's your name?? You hear the young,handsome man asking you.
My name is Katherine,you replied with a smile on your face.
Thank you so much Katherine! He says!
You're welcome,Mr.Gallagher!,you answer back.
Please,call me Brendan!,he replies.
Okay,Brendan! You reply without losing that smile!
Brendan is your favourite hockey player!! You always wanted to meet him but not under these circumstances! You were so excited though but tried not to show it because you didn't want to freak him out!!
We all know that you broke your arm but for typical reasons we must have a radiography! But because the doctor is not available right now and the radiography room is occupied we have some time to kill! Although I'm gonna treat your hand properly and give you some medicine for the pain! Are you okay with it? You ask him while you start finding a bandage and some pain killers.
Yeah sure! I don't have another choice anyways! He replies mockingly!
Is the hospital full? He asks breaking the silence.
Kinda! Car accident but the harsh one!many cars crashed with one another!In Greece we call that carambola,like the fruit but it means that! You reply while taking care of his hand.
So you're Greek? He asks enthusiastically.
I am! But I have a Canadian citizenship as well! You say proudly.
That's cool! He says amazed!

....Tell me about yourself! He says looking at you!
For real??? You ask surprised. He nods with a smile. Well... I spent most of my life in Athens,Greece. No wait! That's a lie. I spent most of my life moving around because my dad is a military officer. Yeah.. we got to travel a lot! You say as your memories were playing in your head.
Really?? That's awesome! Where have you travelled? He asks enthusiastically.
I know right. Well, I have been to Thessaloniki, to Komotini, to Xanthi. Those places are in Northern Greece. I have also been to Cyprus. I spent the best two years of my live there and I get emotional most of the times I think about it.
Why? He asks. Let's just say that our return to Greece wasn't the easiest period of our life! When you were used to living a better life somewhere you don't really want to return back to your old way of living am I right? Besides I met a lot of genuine people there and I didn't want to say goodbye! Mostly it was hard for me but I got lucky because my new school helped me a lot to get over it somehow. Right now I'm a whole lot better because I keep in touch with most of them,both Greeks and Cypriots and I'm living my dream of spending the rest of my life here in Canada!
Wow I'm talking a lot! You must be tired! I say chuckling.
No no, not at all! I love listening to stories. He says.
Okay then! You know, nursing wasn't my first choice as a career. I always wanted to be a dentist. But I wasn't a straight a's student and in Greece grades play a huge role to what your job will be. After a lot of thinking I said being a nurse isn't that bad! Your last word was said at the same time you have finished treating Brendan's arm.
Is that so? I have to say you have been through a lot!...and maybe it was the right choice to follow nursing as your career! It's my pleasure having you as my nurse! He says while winking at you.
You think so? You ask him blushing.
Definitely! He answers.
Thank you Brendan! You say and hugged him trying to avoid his broken arm.
No problem baby girl! He says hugging you back.
It may be weird but I'll ask anyway. Can I have your number and maybe go out sometime? I'll have a lot of time to spare! He says smiling awkwardly. Oh my freaking god! Brendan Gallagher is asking ME out!! You think while smiling at yourself!!
Earth to Katherine!!! You hear Brendan saying to you while laughing. Right here. Why are you laughing? You ask him. First I know you were totally fangirling for a minute and second your lost in space face is adorable. He answers. You don't have time to say anything and the Doctor comes to greet both of you.
Hello Mr.Gallagher,Katherine. Didn't I say to stay away from the hospital? He says looking at Brendan. Well,doc, it's something here that keeps me coming back.What can I say! Brendan answers back looking at you! You roll your eyes but smile to him.
Katherine,do you mind explaining what's his condition? The doctor says.
Sure! Well he has a broken arm and that means surgery . What else is new! You say and both of them started laughing. Although we have to take a scan just to be sure. You finish your sentence smiling. Thank you so much for your assistance. Do you mind getting him ready for the scan? I have to check on some patients. The doctor asks. Of course. You answer. Thanks I'll see you in a bit. He says and leaves. We are all alone. Again! Brendan says to break the ice. What a coincidence! You say smiling. Soooo what is it gonna be? Are you going to give me your number! I'll do puppy eyes if I have to! He says. Well, Gallagher, we'll see! Let's get over the scan first! Ugh Fiiiine He answers back.
At the radiography room
Doctor is there anything else I can do??
Right now no! You can check on the rest of your patients! Thanks a lot Katherine! The doctor answers
Okay then! When you are done can you give Mr.Gallagher this paper please? You ask. He asked for your number didn't he? He asked bursting to laughter. Yes he did. You should have seen his begging face. You answer back! Alright I will give it to him. Are you sure though? He asks again while smiling. Yes I'm totally sure! Thanks doc. You answer him and leave.
To an empty room
As we had guessed your arm is fractured. You know the drill. Surgery and then 6 to 8 weeks off from whatever activity and mostly hockey for recovery okay! The doctor explains to Brendan.
Of course doctor! Hey! Where's the kind nurse? Brendan asks
You mean Katherine? She had to check on some patients! The doctor answers
Brendan looks down sighing!
Buuut she left this for you! The doctor says and passes the paper to him.
Brendan opens the paper that says:
Sorry but I had to go!
My week off starts tomorrow so I don't know if I'll see you before of after your surgery. Call me to arrange that meeting of ours (I would love to call it a date but I don't know) I wish you good luck on the surgery! Everything is going to be fine!
