It's not your fault.

It's not your fault.

It's not your fault.

This one line repeats constantly. Almost like a drum, pounding my brain. The last words my mother said before sending me to London. The last words my aunt said before putting me on this stupid train. But it is my fault. Everything is my fault. I'm the one who got kicked out of Ilvermorny. I was the one who couldn't handle the pressure of that school. I was the one who let my temper flare. I lost control. I'm the one that stood up for those people i used to call friends. They've been saying that it's not my fault. That's a lie. That school just made everything worse. It sucked the life out of me. It was too controlling. A school that big and they can't handle one small duel. I caused my parents to not be able to look me in the eyes. What i did wasn't even that bad. I just disappointed everyone. They wanted, no, needed perfect and i'm far from it. Ilvermorny wants witches and wizards who stand by and accept everything that is taught. I was in Thunderbird for Merlin's sake! The house made for adventurers. For people with a strong spirit. That house was made for me. But the teachers disagreed,"This house is not made for fools Whitebeam!" They had said.

I stare miserably out the window. It seemed as if the rain outside would go on forever. Coming into your sixth year at a new school is utterly terrifying. Especially when you're from a different country. The states seemed so much simpler. At least no one has noticed me yet. Or, at least no one has come into my compartment. I'm completely okay with this. I'm not really in the mood to be social. I honestly just want to sulk quietly by myself.

I've heard many great things about Hogwarts. And the headmaster, Dumbledore, who had personally asked for me to come to Hogwarts when he heard that i was expelled. In Ilvermorny, we learned about the other wizarding schools and Hogwarts was by far my favorite. So, shouldn't i be more excited to be here? Even though i was born a no-maj i understood from an early age the importance of Albus Dumbledore. And Harry Potter. I know all about Voldemort and how Harry had survived the killing curse. Hogwarts itself is supposed to be incredible. I vaguely wonder if it will be more... comfortable than my old school.

I turn my head slightly when i hear speaking outside of my compartment. The accents here still amuse me and i wonder what i must sound like to them. The door slides open and i immediately sit up straight. A tall ginger haired boy walks in laughing. He's lean with a sturdy build and -I hate to admit it- extremely attractive. I give him an odd look but he doesn't seem to notice my presence. Another ginger walks in , an exact copy of the boy in front of me, but somehow, someway, less handsome.

"-should have seen his face!"

"That was brillant!"

The first one turns and stops laughing when he notices me. His caramel colored eyes are wide as he watches me sit there. He honestly looks a bit stunned. I give him a curious look. Apparently snapping out of his small daze, he returns it. His twin turns and gives me the same look.

"Who are you?" The first one asks. His accent dances around my ears and I conclude that I like it. "I'm new." I respond quietly. The boys both share a glance and smile at me.

"You're accent..." The first one grins.

"...it's different." The second finishes.

I roll my eyes before asking, "Who are you two?"

"I'm George Weasely." The second one says, extending a hand. His brother gives him a quizzical glance but it's so quick, i don't know if I imagined it. I shake his hand suspiciously.

"I'm Fred Weasley." The first says, also extending his hand. I shake it and pull away blushing lightly for no reason. They take seats across from the compartment and stare at me expectantly.

"Ashton Whitebeam. Nice to meet you, Fred and George." But instead of pointing at them the way they introduced, i switched them. The both looked a bit shocked but quickly relaxed into grins.

"Blimey, Fred. This one's smart." George tells his twin.

"Must be a Ravenclaw." Fred laughs.

Ravenclaw? What does that mean? It sounds like a compliment, though.

"What's a Ravenclaw?" I ask. They both stare at me and i feel slightly stupid. "It's one of the houses." Fred explains.

"You have Ravenclaw, Hufflepuff, Slytherin..." George continues.

"...And the best Gryffindor." They both finish proudly. I crinkle my nose, interesting names.

"We have four houses too." I say.

"Who?" George asks curiously.

"Ilvermorny." I reply shocked.

"Ilvermorny? You went to Ilvermorny?" Fred questions.

"Of course. Well, until now. I go to Hogwarts now."

"And why is that?" George replies.

I panic inside. I can't tell them what happened, they'll think i'm a freak for getting so angry over such a small thing. Just when i make friends, this question is going to ruin it. I already know theres rumors spreading about the 'dangerous freak girl'. I turn away to look out the rain splattered window. It's still storming and lightning is dancing across the sky.

"I guess you could say i needed a change of scenery."

George was about to say something else- propably try to make me spill the truth- when the door slid open for the second time that day. A pale boy with white-ish blond hair stood in the doorway, staring at us in disgust. He had what looked to be two minions standing behind him, all three were dressed in black robes clad with green and silver.

"So, it is true..." He sneered in my direction.

"...We have got a foreigner coming to this pathetic school." As he finished the two goons behind him snickered loudly.

"Is it true? You were kicked out of another school?" The boy asked. I don't like this kid at all. And judging by the looks on the twins faces, they don't either.

"Yes." I say simply. This time the twins had completely shocked looks on their faces.

"I should have known. Only trash would sit with weasles."

"Shove off Malfoy." Fred growls. George's face is red and he appears to be restraining himself from strangling the kid. The boy smirks and closes the door. Fred turns to me.

"You were expelled?"

I nod and return my gaze to staring out the window. Through the heavy sheet of rain I see a dark figure risking against the black sky. I sit up straighter to examine it. It's a tall castle, sturdily built, with the glow of lights illuminating the inside and windows. The stone work and towers are incredible and the forest surrounding it, breathtaking. A look of awe seemed to paint itself on my face because George had finally calmed down and grinned at me.

"Welcome to Hogwarts Ashton."

"Call me Ash."
