Chapter 9

Ring ding ling. "Alright kids class is over, please head to your next classes." The rest of the day was kind of a daze. The day was finally over. And now I have to go to basket ball. Me and Tabi practice in the gym. I walked into the gym and Tabi was waiting under the basket for me with two basket balls. " you ready Jessie." Said Tabi. " yup, I'm ready." I said. "Practice is going to have to be cut short. We can only practice for 15 minuets." She said with a sorry look on her face. " why!" I said with an edge of anger. "Because Patty told the principle that she needed to use the gym at 3:15." Said Tabi. Patty always ruins every thing!! I'm sick of her! Just then Patty walked in. I gave her a dirty look. And as always she returned it. " what are you losers doing here." Said Patty. " we have the gym from 3:00 to 3:15 so what are you doing here." Said Tabi. "Well we need to set up." Said Patty. "Set up what!" I said in a yelling voice. I felt my face turn red with rage. " fine you loser can both at least take one shot each." Said Patty. Tabi and I we're suppose to be practicing lay ups so she went in for a lay up and made it, it hit off the corner of the box and bounced into the hoop. It was my turn now so I took my ball and went in for the shot. But right as I was about to take the shot Patty grabbed Tabi's ball out of her hands and threw it at my face as hard as she could. The force of the ball knocked me off my feet and with a loud thud I hit the floor and scraped my knee. First my dad then the house and now I have a bruise on the side of my face and a scrape on my knee!! Tabi ran over to make sure I was ok. "Are you ok!" She said. Patty started to laugh. "Let's go, people like her aren't worth our time." Said Tabi trying to pick me up by the hand. She helped me out side and said " I can't believe she did that!!!" "I have to go home." I said "how are you getting home?" Said Tabi. "I'm walking." "I could give you a ride if you want." She said "I'm good, I need some time to be alone." I said as I started to walk away. " but it's really cold out are you sure?" She said in a concerned voice. " I'm sure." I said. I looked back and saw her step in her car.
