It was pretty much all of Europe versus France ( That frog.). I myself was also in the war. Along with. Spain,Prussia,Netherlands,The Ottoman Empire, Russia, Austria,Kingdom of Italy ( Italy), Kingdom of Naples(Romano) ,HRE,Denmark,Norway,Sweden,Finland along with other smaller countries. I also financed the whole entire war. Which in turn. May or may not have caused the whole reason behind the American Revolution. ( Oops.) Now. HRE was one of the first to declare war on France. As you probably have seen. HRE was the " Man" Of the house. To say. He held the Austro-Hungarian Empire, The Kingdom of Prussia and The Kingdom of Italy in his hands. He was not to give them up so easily. Especially since he had a crush on little Italy. So to protect his empire. He declared war on France. He had fought France plenty of times before. But that was when France was still a Monarchy. France just recently had a revolution. It was called The French Revolution. The monarch system had made France weak. ( Because his rulers never gave a crap about their people.) . But with Napoleon the first became " Emperor Napoleon The First. ( Or a dictator). France's Military was raised. So much that it actually caused a threat to all of Europe. France had become stronger and powerful. France started the war. Because during the Austro-Hungarian war. Prussia took some of France's land. ( 1 is the area stolen from France. In the picture.).

Also it did not help that this was the beginning of the whole extreme nationalism deal. That also started both World Wars. Now skip a few years. To when HRE entered the war. The day that HRE left Austria's house. You saw that HRE was leaving and gave Italy a kiss on the lips. Now let me tell you what happened out of his point of view. Austria called France over to talk to him about HRE. What Austria wanted to talk about was to make sure that HRE himself was not harmed. For Prussia and Italy's sake. France agreed. For even though he was at war with Prussia. He still cared for his friend. And he thought Italy as a brother. France would do anything to keep him safe and happy. Skip a few years to 1806. Some smaller German states seceded the empire. HRE grew quite weak from the split. That was when France's boss decide that now was the time to strike and kill the young empire. Much to France's dismay. He himself was to be the one to get the final hit. France had to come up with an idea quick. He ten remembered something that I taught him. If you hit a nation in an area of the brain. ( Also called the limbic system) It will cause memory loss. Along with his/her people. So that means yes. HRE will lose who he is. But with the cost of his people forgetting. It was a risk. But he had to try it. So France walked up to HRE trembling. He then asked HRE if he had any last words. HRE replied. " Yes. I do. Tell meine sweet Italien. Ich Liebe Dich." And with that France stabbed deep into HRE's brain to hit the spot he needed to hit. HRE fainted and fell down face down in the mud. France started to cry. ( I think that is the only time I have ever really seen him break down.) He then found Prussia to tell him the bad news. Prussia did not take it well. Let's just say that he tried to stab France in the chest. Prussia ran over to HRE's body. He cradled while sobbing at the small lifeless body. France then started to sing a song that he knew calmed Prussia.
Prussia and France carried HRE's body to his tent. Prussia laid HRE's body down on a cot. " How long?" Asked Prussia. " A few days at least." Replied France dazed. " Don't tell Ita." Said Prussia sadly. " Oui. Petit Feli would be crushed if I do. " Replied France. France had never told Italy what had happened to HRE to this day. Even though I think Italy kinda knows. That is why I think even when Germany and Italy were just friends. He was so attached to him. Germany I have no idea with. He still claims them as just crazy dreams and his imagination playing tricks on him. I do know that it is getting worse. I remember one time when Mae was little he went completely back to HRE. Luckily Italy had to go with James to fix a problem in Rome.
