Hello to y'all, happy new year. This is my second BLEACH fanfic and it will most likely be my last. I'm 100% committed to completely the story within this year, 2017. The story length will be anywhere between 20 and 40 episodes depending on certain factors. I hope you'll enjoy the story and all I ask for in return is some feedback to help me improve as a writer. A good soldier obeys their orders and they do so without question but it’s not always that simple…
“Attention! Attention!! All squad vice captains are to report to Kusajishi zone 5 immediately. The matter is of utmost importance. If necessary, you’re permitted to employ the full power of your zanpakuto. This order was signed by the captain of squad one and head captain, Kyoraku Shunsui.”
The above message was delivered to the vice captains, who had gathered in the squad one barracks, by a hell butterfly. They had convened the meeting to discuss rumours of riots all over Rukongai and they all assumed this new order had something to do with it. Before the announcement was complete, Ikkaku Madarame of squad 11 was already half way out of the door with a grin on his face. Other vice captains followed once they had heard the full announcement. There was no shortage of eagerness among the lieutenants even though emotions were perfectly mixed.
Well as some were very much looking forward to a good fight after a very long time without action, many were hoping it was a false alarm and a few were too afraid to hope.
When they arrived in Kusajishi, everything was calm. The residents, who had been going about their day to day business, retreated into their ramshackle houses and hid. There was no sign of riots!
“This is strange! Is this the correct location?” Hisagi Shuuhei of squad 9 asked. There was such an unusual silence that the wind’s brushing against distant pebbles could be heard clearly.
